Damon knew that Stefan was probably back in Mystic Falls. Stefan would not be too happy about the plan of opening the tomb.

He also did not want his daughter to be caught in the middle of their feud. So he compelled Zack Salvatore to build another smaller house near the main house with a big piece of land for Ellie to garden. That house was also under her name so that vampires needed her permission to enter it.

The only condition she had to move, was there should be a greenhouse and space for a big garden. And of course, a library in the house.

She loves roads tripping, and Taylor Swift. So after a few hours, Damon has hear several types of scream singing.

When he stopped at the house, Ellie was passed out. He gently carried her and put her on her bed and unpacked all their stuff with his vamp speed.

Over the years, Damon learned that Ellie does not care if he kills people. It was just the circle of life. The balance of nature. She just never want to see blood.

Damon decided to go irrated Stefan, by dramatically announcing his return to the town. Then he will stop and buy El some food at the Grill.

Stefan goes in his bedroom, hoping that Damon might not be there.  That his thoughts were wrong. That he did not attack that girl at the party

"Damon."

A boy appears behind the window, after a crow flew in.

"Hello, brother."

Stefan sarcastically said,"Crow's a bit much, don't you think?"

"Wait till you see what I can do with the fog."

Stefan asked while frowning," When'd you get here?"

"Well, I couldn't miss your first day at school. Your hair's different. I like it."

Stefan sighed and said in frustration, "It's been 15 years, Damon. Why are you here?"

Damon then stated sarcastically,"I miss my little brother."

"You hate small towns. It's boring. There's nothing for you to do.Why are you here now?"

Damon then said,"I could ask you the same question. However, I'm fairly certain your answer can be summed up all into one little word... Elena...How about you go on your business and me, on my own? We go our separate ways, not disrupting each other lives."

Stefan looked at him in disbelief, but nodded to keep the peace. Whatever Damon probably planned is not good. He will protect Elena from him.

Damon speeded away and went to the Grill. He ordered some different foods for Ellie, because she is like a bear coming out of hibernation when she's hungry.

He sat at a booth, waiting for his order, when he overheard a blonde teenager talk and being sad.

"I'm inappropriate. I always say the wrong thing. And... Elena always says the right thing. She doesn't even try! And he just picks her. And she's always the one that everyone picks, for everything. And I try so hard, and... I'm never the one."

The other girl did not even comfort the girl. He thought maybe in someway he can get the blonde girl and Ellie to be friends. Maybe, one day.

I woke up in a comfy bed, wondering how I slept like the dead in a truck.
