When the girls woke up, Damon never came home. Caroline was worried, because Ellie was getting a higher fever and was struggling to stay awake.

She tried her best to take care of her friend.

That night she seemed a bit better, but to Caroline she was talking crazy. She told her about fairies and vampire's and about the Salvatore's secret. She did not want to believe it, but she looked in one freezer and saw bloodbags. She could not believe her eyes.

She will ask questions when Ellie's healthy.

Two days later, Elisabeth could get up and have a shower and change into new pajamas.

She looked around, only finding Caroline. Not her dad.

Caroline quietly made them some breakfast and asked,"So vampires are real?"

Ellie widened her eyes in shock. She probably overshared her life story while having a fever.

She nodded her head,"I know it might seem crazy. But I promise you my dad and me will never hurt you. The bracelet we gave you will protect you against compulsion."

They both sat in silence for a bit.

"Thank you."

Ellie looked at her confused and she explained further,"You are truly the only friend that will protect and I will keep your secrets only if you tell me the truth. Pinky promise?"

They sealed their promise and Ellie asked,"Are we like best friends now?"

Caroline nodded and gave her a hug.

"Do you know where Damon is?"

Caroline shook her head and informed her,"I haven't seen him since the Founder's party."

Ellie told her the whole story of Stefan and Damon's history and how Stefan might have hurt Damon. They thought of a plan to save him.

In the cellar, Damon was laying on the ground. Covered in sweat. As pale as a vampire can be.

"Where is my ring?"

Stefan stood outside the cellar," Won't be needing it anymore."

"How long have I been here?" Damon groaned and worried for Ellie. Is she okay?

" Three days. You'll grow weaker and weaker. Eventually you won't be able to move or speak. In a week your skin will desiccate, and you'll mummify. A living corpse. Unable to hurt anyone. Ever."

Damon was surprised that Stefan would go so far,"So what, you're just going to leave me in the basement, forever?"

" I've injected you with enough vervain to keep you weak. Once your circulation stops, I'll move you to the family crypt, and then in 50 years, we can reevaluate."

Damon said in pain," I'm stronger than you think."

" You always have been. But you're not stronger than the vervain. And we both know it. I'm sorry. Didn't have to be this way."

"The sexy suds car wash is tomorrow. The football team and the band have committed. Well, not all the band. Just the ones who could pull off the bikini. I want, in your face, sexy. I mean, it's a fund raiser, for god's sake." Caroline informed her classmates, the start of 'Save the better Salvatore'.

"Unbelievable. It's like nothing happened." Elena was still thinking she was right, no matter what Caroline tried telling her.

"Lies and denial." Bonnie also agreed with Elena not wanting to hear her our.

Elena and Stefan were talking, arranging to Meer at the Grill later.

Caroline walked up to them and asked,"Stefan, where is Damon?"

"He's gone, Caroline."

"When is he coming back?" Caroline glared at him for a bit, knowing he was the reason her new best friend was stressed.

Stefan told her,"He's not coming back. I'm sorry."

Caroline walked off annoyed, harshly shoving Stefan's shoulder as she walked. These idiots.

She learned a lot about the supernatural this weekend and Damon was nothing but nice to her. Sure, he has to feed on people. But usually he only feed, heal and compel. He only kills the people that truly deserved it.

" I bet you're feeling pretty good about yourself, aren't you?" Damon sat against the wall, he was having flashbacks on 5 darkest years of his life. He lost his bestfriend and he lost his humanity for the first and only time. He made a promise to Elisabeth to never turn his humanity off. Maybe if he gets out ,he can check and see if Whitmore is still experimental free.

"Not particularly." Stefan was wondering if he was gpdoing the right thing.

Damon signed and said with struggling breathes.,"You won. You got the bad guy. Now nothing could come between you and Elena. Except the truth. The lies will catch up to you, Stefan. As long as you keep lying to yourself about what you are."

"The beauty of you in there and me out here... Is that i can walk away."

Caroline was part one of the plan. Distract the idiots.
"No friend discounts. No freebies. No pay ya laters. We are not running a charity here. No, we are not."

"Hi."Stefan greeted the girls

"Hey!"

Caroline sternly told the two,"The event is called sexy suds, you know."

She quickly sent Ellie a text. Plan A worked. Do your thing.

Elisabeth was waiting outside the Salvatore Boarding House. After she read the text, she grabbed a cooler bag with bloodbags, and she walked up to the door. She expected it to be locked, but then again they are idiots.

She opened the door and quickly looked for the basement she found it and saw a devastating sight. Her dad almost laying like a dead corpse.

"Dad?"

He lifted his head and saw his daughter. He was happy she was okay. Damon crawled up to the bars and she handed him all the bloodbags . As he drank the bloodbags she opened the door. A hand grabbed her, trying to stop her.

"No! No! Get out of here. Run! Run!"

Ellie turned around, knowing what was going to happen. Damon kills Zach.

She hugged him with force, not caring about the blood for a moment. A few moments later she felt blood staining her clothes. She grimaced, trying not to throw up.

Damon saw her trying to be strong and vampspeed her home. Where she will probably scrub her skin raw.

Damon knew he had to get his ring back somehow. And unfortunately that involves threatening Elena.

Stefan came home and exclaimed," Zach! Oh, no, Zach..." Their last living relative is dead, because of Damon.

Meanwhile, Elena is connecting the dots.
It's not possible. I'm not a believer, i can't be.
But how can i deny what's right in front of me?
Someone who never grows old...
