Today October 17th, we can see that the frontlines have not moved majorly like some other days. However these small advances for Russian troops across the whole front. And the plan for Ukraine to win the war is becoming more obscure. Except now North Korean troops are beginning to arrive in Ukraine and Pyongyang says it is going to double its industrial output to support the Russian weapon criteria. And North Korea has now put in its constitution that South Korea is a hostile state to its nation.
In the Kursk area no reported advances have been made for either side today but there has still been continued significant fighting for both sides and has resulted in high casualties with many wounded and killed. Still coming from Kursk the reserve units have been deployed to Kursk and they have not made any significant affect so far and the Northern Kursk salient is becoming more at risk of encirclement but still some sources are conflicted to whether or not Ukrainian troops have pulled out of the salient. Still more has to be reported in the days to come.
In the Pokorovsk offensive front, Russians are beginning to become perilously close to Pokorovsk but still Ukrainian defenders are putting up tough resistance around the defensive terrain of the city. But Russian forces have been slowly advancing with moderate casualties. Still the Ukrainian defenders are slowly halting the Russian advance. And till tomorrow that is all we have.
Finally onto the Kharkiv reopened front, Ukrainian forces were able to make small advances backwards into local towns however the Russians have had no real success in the region and still they lack the necessary resources to push further. And Kharkiv is nearly over 60 miles away from the gates. As Kharkiv is the 2nd largest city in Ukraine. It is strategically important for both a defensive positions and for the morale of the Ukrainian army.
