(Late) 25th October Selydove is falling

Yesterday 25th of October 2024, we have seen some advances but only in the central Donbas region where the most fighting is taking place. Also the Pokorovsk offensive has seen the town of Selydove become almost encircled from the attacker. Let's see the front.

In the last 24 hours, the Russians have made some significant gains in this region and have since still put pressure on the town of Selydove, and the town seems to have issues but in this time, it has been 100% confirmed that Ukrainian forces have begun the slow withdrawal from the town as the high command has ordered to them. And also alarmingly for Kyiv, the Russians have also been able to capture a significant part of the town, around 30% at most but despite the desperate situation around, the Ukrainians still hold onto the town with desperation. Losing this major town will give the road open to capturing Pokorovsk in the future so they must prevent further attacks and contain the Russian troops.

However on the southern spear head of the Pokorovsk offensive, the Russians were able to capture a large strip of land from the Ukrainians but it hasn't made any significant difference for them to do anything. And the since the town of Maksymilyanivka has been captured the Russians still hold the high ground from the south which they could do an attack and pass major defences and trench lines from the Ukrainian perspective. But everyday Russian attrition tactics are becoming increasingly more effective with using motorbikes and threatening towns and cities with encirclement to make them withdraw and gain a significant amount of land. Unfortunately not much happened yesterday so here are the casualty reports for yesterday.
