21st October major advances in Pokorovsk

Today the 21st of October 2024, today we see major advances in the Donbas area from Russian troops. And we will see further strains on the town of Selydove as the area become semi encircled from Russian troops. But we will now discuss further as Russian casualties begin to become higher then the Ukrainian forces casualties.

We move to the Donbas where the most significant fighting takes place and throughout the whole war. And after the Russians recent large Pokorovsk offensive, the Russians have been able to cover some more land as of today's reports. As of the situation in Selydove, the Russians have captured some more length of the main roads that lead supplies and information to the town. So we could therefore say that Selydove is logistically encircled as the last major opening to Selydove is under heavy Russian pressure for the Ukrainians to retreat from the region. However they know that doing this maneuver will allow the Russians to continue the advance further towards Pokorovsk.
And the salient as of yesterday evening has been blunted and has been swiftly captured. The Ukrainians however still maintain strong defences with trenches and fortifications to defend the city of Pokorovsk. However it is still uncertain whether or not that the Ukrainian high command will have any orders to retreat from Selydove. And just to add a small piece the Russians had also done a small advance outside of the town of Maksymilyanivka. And have gained strategic important high ground. Which maybe crucial to Russian logistics later.

Lastly for today we shall go to the Kursk incursion where nothing as of significance has occurred but there has been a somewhat decent advance from the Ukrainian forces. As we know the Russians launched a powerful counter offensive in the North and western areas of the Kursk incursion and not much has happened as the offensive had came to a stalemate for now. But now to the eastern front of the incursion, the Ukrainians launched a counterattack against the Russians who were startled by the unexpected attack. And they were pushed back roughly 2.6 Km². And still heavy fighting continues within this area but the Russians are still unbeknownst to what there intentions are to do with it.

And from this casualty report, we can see that Russia has taken higher casualties then the Ukrainians according to Ukrainian MOD for the first time in many months. But this could just be because of the significant fighting in the Donbas area.
