Two days passed by like a breeze, but Lyra was still seated in her bed with trails of tears against her cheek. The cry of her baby brought her back to reality as she smiled a bit.
“You must be hungry, little one” She picked him up slowly and fed him
Fresh tears made its way to Lyra's eyes, and she tried to push it away, but it was too strong and too hot to be pushed away. Lyra was heartbroken from the rejection, but she was scattered about her dead son.
Ragnar didn't return the baby for a check-up and she was banished from the pack for good, she couldn't go back to him, or he might kill her and take Zayn with him. She dropped back in the incubator. He looked healthier than two days ago and she smiled.
She walked around the room in silence, trying to think of what she wanted to do next. Her first son was dead, and the second was with her. She needed to run away, but she won't run with a child who is barely mature.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the door opening slowly, and she saw Georgia with a tray of food and a tight smile on her face. Georgia had been taking care of her every need ever since the incident, and she couldn't thank her enough.
“Good morning, feeling any better?” She dropped the food and gave her a slight hug.
“No but I'll survive, I mean have to I have a baby to take care of” She blinked away the tears as she looked to the ceiling with a broken heart
If only she could go back in time to save her son and her marriage, she thought before giving Georgia a small smile, but Georgia was extended worried as she had never seen Lyra look so broken
She knew ever since Lyra got married Ragnar hated her but she in all her days of being neglected by him, this was the first time Lyra was breaking down and showing she wasn't strong enough to deal with everything, and it did nothing but break her heart
“You want to talk about it?” She asked as Lyra took a piece of orange from the tray, but then she laughed slightly like a possessed person.
“What's there to talk about Georgia? I lost them both without even getting the chance to say goodbye. I have Zayn left, and now I have to think of a way to survive our lives out of the pack” Her voice was soft, but anyone could hear the pain she held within herself.
“How about you stay in my house for the moment and I can take care of you and…"
“Georgia you've been very kind to me, but I can't accept your help anymore. I'll leave the pack as soon as Zayn can breathe normally, then mind a way to live our lives”
“Lyra things are going to get harder and….”
“You don't need to worry about me, I promise.” Lyra gave her a tight smile and Georgia took a deep breath while accepting her terms.
“At least let me help you back with a few things. Zayn will be taken out of the incubator today and I wanted to introduce you to someone” Georgia brimmed, but it made Lyra confused.
“I thought Zayn was meant to be there for two weeks or more?”
“Werewolf kids grow extremely fast on the outside, and they won't stop growling like that until they are toddlers, which can be in a month”
“A toddler in a month?!” Lyra asked in shock as Georgia removed some supplies from Zayn's incubator before putting him in the crib.
“Yes. The growth is insane, but you will go through some hard times before it. What I mean is that he can be crying now and the next hour he will be gagging because he doesn't like a certain meal you give him, so you have to be careful, and please give… I'll prepare a lot of food for you to take on your journey and expect something new each day” Tears filled Lyra's eyes and without thinking he swung her hands around Georgia while crying.
