LYRA'S P.O.V.
“How about we kill her?” He turned around to look at me this time “I… I mean now, to take us all the stress, you can just kill her right now”
“That's not right”
“And that is why you haven't been able to kill her for all this years!” I snapped him.
“What do you mean?”
“Vallar you will not be able to kill her. You love too much to do that if you could, you would have. I'm certain this isn't the first time you've been able to tie her down, she sleeps next you could have easily killed her if you really did want to kill her”
“I… Do it” He stood up and walked away from her.
“Do what?”
“Kill her, I mean you are right. I cannot kill her, that's why she's not dead yet”
“Vallar, please leave the room” He looked at me while he wanted to say something before he left
My heart beat pounded as I looked at her. I knew it was a burden having him live like this but the sooner I did it, the better for the entire pack even if Vallar will be upset for a day, we could still deal with that than this.
Pushing my claws out, I pushed the chains beneath her upper body and her eyes flew open causing me jerk up, but I didn't move
“L… Lyra? What's going on?” She moved herself and noticed the chain before looking at me with sad eyes.
“I'm sorry, but I have to do this”
“Do what? Don't kill me, please don't kill… I said don't kill me!” She growled out the last part and her eyes turned red like earlier.
The chain was pulled off in a second and she attacked me. I fought as hard as I could while the air in my lungs was getting cut out. I kicked my head, but it had no effect.
“Hannah keep her down” We both turned to see Vallar by the entrance
“She wants to kill me” She tightened her hand against my throat as I struggled
“Let her go, she can kill you” Slowly her grip against my neck loosen, and she dropped me to the ground
I took in a sharp breath being able to breathe properly. She walked towards Vallar gently, and I picked up the dagger she almost killed me with before and stabbed her towards the heart.
“Lyra, no!!” Vallar's voice filled the air as Hannah coughed out blood and slowly fell to the ground.
Vallar immediately pulled her body on to him and for the first time she smiled genuinely and her hand reaches for his face, trying to wipe away the tears falling
“I… I'm… S… Sorry'' Her hand dropped from Vallar's face as he tried to save her from dying, but she was gone.
Vallar let out a howl filled with anger and pain and chills went down my spine knowing I had been the cause of this pain, but it has been for a good cause and…
“Go to your room and lock the door, no matter what I say do not open it, no matter who speaks do not open it until tomorrow, take everything you have to take and say their with the boys”
“But…"
“Get out Lyra, I don't mean to hurt you!” Without thinking, I ran as fast as I could with tears rolling down my face.
It wasn't the first time I was killing someone, but this broke my heart more than ever. He loved her there was no doubt, but he had to let her go, no matter how much he wanted to hold on.
