AUTHOR'S P.O.V.

Ragnar looked at the elders arguing among themselves from where he was sitting and groaned in frustration. In the last two hours they have been seated in this room discussing Lyra's life essence.

“What do you suggest, Sir James?” He finally asked and the table fell silent, it's as though they had forgotten about him while they argued relentlessly.

“You get married to Lyra again, that's what your father would have wanted more than anything. I know you never liked Lyra and you probably never will but for the sake of the back get married to her and sort yourselves out”

“She pushed my father off the stairs, and you want me to marry her?” They were completely taken aback by his words.

No one but Sir James knew about that version of the story, but he never believed that Lyra was capable of even hurting a life talkless of killing a man she considered to be her father

“Let her be your wife”

“Are you kidding me? She killed Darius after everything and you still want him to marry him? Elara is a great option, she's strong, powerful and determined” One of the elders intervened and others agreed, but Sir James still held that look on his face that says he wasn't concerned about what they were saying.

“Elara is also a selfish, entitled brat! Lyra wouldn't kill a fly, and you expect her to kill a man she loved dearly?” His voice was calm, yet it had a dangerous edge that everyone, including Ragnar, feared

“Sir James I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm never getting married to Lyra, not today and definitely not forever. If you don't want to be among the watchful elders of the pack you can walk out of the door but apart from that I suggest you sit down and listen to everyone at the table including me!” Ragnar growled, but Sir James wasn't affected in any way

“Your title as the alpha is in my hands. Don't be a stupid child, Ragnar. The pack loved Lyra, and she was the best at her job…" He stood up from the chair and began walking towards the door “... Insult me again, and you'll be off your title faster than you got it” The tension in the room grew as they both stared at each other in the eye.

Sir James wasn't just anyone, he was Ragnar's grand Uncle who has refused to dropped dead since the dawn of time and everyone respected him except for Ragnar who believed the man couldn't be there at all

“You know you do not belong in this council, I…"

“You did nothing. Your father saw potential in Lyra that's why he liked her, you are nothing but a scumbag who doesn't seem to know the difference between right and wrong. Grow up Ragnar or your children will pay for your stupidity at the end” Sir James walked out without another word while Ragnar was contemplating killing the old man again, but that wasn't an easy task.

Considering the fact that he had tried thrice and failed each time

“Elara get George and Georgia in place” He sent a text message but after thirty minutes he got no reply, and he was caused to worry

Earlier while the meeting was going on he felt that something was wrong but Elara not answering her text is more reason him to know that something is wrong

“I'm not getting married to Lyra and Elara's Luna's ceremony will be held within a month” He finally said before he left the room to find her

He walked into the room and found no one. After searching the entire house, Ragnar decided to follow her scent and track her phone, and it led straight to the dungeon underneath the house.

Ragnar furrowed his eyebrows confused but as he walked down he perceived the scent of blood and saw Elara dying on the floor, it reminded him of the scene caused by Lyra years ago, and he pushed the door open only to see George and Georgia trapped in it
