My heart beat faster. I know definitely that Elara is the mastermind of all these things, I am certain that she is the one who tampered with the papers.
Hearing Ragnar's stern declaration about punishing me only makes my heart beat faster, I know very well that Ragnar was a man of his word.

“Lyra, I'll punish you for this” Ragnar said sternly, I was scared because, like I said earlier, Ragnar is a man of his word, and he will surely punish me just as he has said.
I stared at Elara angrily, she gave me a smirk, what the hell is wrong with her, why does she like to treat me this way all the time? I thought.
“That is not the issue right now Ragnar, the issue is how do we please the investors now that all this has happened” Elara said, still pretentious.
“Lyra, I think I have found the right punishment for you” Ragnar said, wanting to hold my hands, but I quickly dodged.
“Why are you so mean to me Ragnar, for crying out loud I am your wife, why do I have to get punished by you, by punishment, do you mean the aggressive sexual intercourse you have with me? I said angrily, he scoffed at me.
“Maybe, but this time around I won't be the ones doing that with you, the investor will do it, that is the right way to please the investors, “Ragnar said as I felt electric power rush through my body as I froze when I heard what Ragnar said.
“Wha… what? I asked stuttering.
“You heard what I said clearly, or are you just playing dumb? He asked, and he dragged me, I couldn't even struggle to break free, I was shocked. He dragged me into the hotel room where the investors were.
I stare at him shockingly… “Are you going to do this? Really? I asked him as he smirked, and he threw me to the investors.
“You all gentlemen should please yourself with this lady since the papers for the signing have been tampered with,” Ragnar said staring at me, I couldn't believe it, I was shocked by all of this, how could he possibly allow other men apart from him touch me, I wanted to run to him, but it was too late, as he already exists the door, and locked it from behind?
I immediately stood there frozen by all this, I turned to see the investors smirking at me, it only irritated me the more, what was Ragnar planning? Will he have the mind to have other men touch me?

Just thinking about it pains me, my heart aches, the investors smirk at me, and my heart skips, as I run to the door immediately and bang on it fearfully.
“Ragnar please, don't do this to me, it's not my fault, it's Elara's plan, she tampered with the papers for you to punish me, Ragnar please don't do this to me, I beg of you," I said banging the door, but it was stiff, and not opening or giving me any hope of opening.

“What do you think you are doing, pretty one?”. One of the investors said coming to me.
“Come to me” he added, staring at me. I stare at him and the other two, who look at me and smirk.
“After travelling from afar down here, you dare play us? Tell me, why do you choose to tamper with the papers? One of the investors asked.
“I promise, I'm not the one that tampered with it, and I didn't trick you either. I promise, please don't do this to me” I begged, the tears starting streaming down my cheeks.
“What do you mean that Mr. Ragnar is lying? Make it simple and come to me”. One of the investors said.
“No, please. I beg you” I said pleading.
“Don't make this harder than it seems, and make it simple” the investors said.
A thought came into my head, maybe I should use the position of the wife Ragnar to bend the situation in my favor, perhaps this won't happen.
I can't believe Ragnar left me for the investors to please themselves. What kind of man would do that to his wife?  I thought with a broken heart.
Seeing how Ragnar hates me so much just makes me wonder why all these things are happening to me.
“Do you know who I am? I asked cleaning my tears, trying to bend the situation in my favor.
“What does that matter, we know who you are, you are the rejected mate of Ragnar” one of the investors said, making me stand frozen there?
I can't believe what he just said, the hope of turning the situation to my gain shattered right in my face.
“What… what? I stutter, moving backwards as he moves closer to me.
“Stop it, please” I begged, crying. Just the mere thought of having these investors touch me sends shivers down my spine, this wasn't fair at all.
“Let's make it simple” he said, coming closer to me as he finally reached where I stood. There was nowhere for me to go again, as my back pressed the wall.
“No, please stop it,” I said in a whispering voice, as he reached for me, and touched my neck. It irritates me and I felt a nauseous sensation, and I felt like throwing up.
I immediately, pushed him with all the strength in my body, as he staggered, and when he was balanced and not staggering again, he came to me and stared at me.
“How dare you push me” he said slapping me hard, dragging my hair and pushing me onto the bed, and the others were laughing as if something were funny.
“Please don't do this” I pleaded, holding my swollen cheeks in fright.
“Which of us should go first? One of them said, but the door burst open and Ragnar stormed in with rage, he stared at the investors angrily.
“What are you doing? They asked angrily, seeing him barge inside the room.
Without uttering any word, he walked to where I was and dragged me out of the hotel room immediately and when we were outside the room, he pushed me angrily making me fall, and winch in pain as I held my stomach.
