LYRA'S P.O.V.
TWO MONTHS LATER
I watched from the room window as Zeph, Zayn, and John trained together on the training ground. Vallar had made them join training and John was that trainer, considering the fact that they were both menaces in their ways, they needed to divert that energy into fighting.
A knock on my door caught my attention and I opened the door to see Dora - the blonde from two months ago.
“You're on kitchen duty miss” She brimmed and I frowned
“That's not funny”
“But it is, I like how you hate kitchen duties even if you're the best cook in the house. I overheard Alpha talking to Portia to make you take over kitchen duties forever” my eyes widened in fear as I looked at her.
“That's not possible, please…"
“Lyra!” I heard Portia's voice and my body went frozen.
“Seems like I was right after her”
“Curse you, Dora!” I snarled at her, and she laughed while I walked towards Portia's voice direction.
Dora and I became friends after the incident that had happened. The entire pack went silent after the announcement of Hannah's death and Vallar locked away from everyone.
After three weeks he came out with an attitude, but after a while things went back to normal, and he was much nicer than usual which still caused me to worry
“You are on kitchen duties from now on” She mumbled as soon as she saw me
“Portia, no come on, we can work this out I can…"
“It's Alpha's orders, not mine, now get to work!” She yelled in my face and I sighed.
She still hates me there's no doubt about it but one look at the kitchen and I wanted to cry for real. I hated the fact that I had to do this work, kitchen duty was the most stressful thing on this earth.
“Come to my office” I heard Vallar's voice in my head and my body went cold
As much as I like that he was now very nice I didn't like the idea of being alone in a room with him. I swallowed hard and wiped my sweating palm over my thigh before walking upstairs and towards the office.
After a long walk, I finally really the door of his office and knocking before opening and I saw him working on some papers before his eyes snapped to me and chills ran down my spine
“Close the door” I closed in and took a sit while hiding my shaking hand away
“Relax I'm not going to kill you” That only caused me to worry more “... In the next two hours I will be leaving the pack for an Alpha meeting, you're coming with me” I frowned.
“W… What? Why? I can't leave the kids alone, and it's an Alpha meeting. What am I doing there?”
“I have to take someone with me, I am not taking my Beta because of an important situation and the kids are safe with Dora and Portia”
“Portia hates me”
“She's jealous of you, and I'll skin her alive if a scratch gets on the kids body even mistakenly"
“Why do you want me to go?”
“Because I want you to, stop questioning my decisions because it's treasonous, you have two hours to get ready it's going to be a long journey and pack for three days”
“Three days! That's a long time I can't stay away from the kids that long I…"
“Stop being paranoid about these kids…"
