Author's POV:-

Tanu came forward and tied the Nayan's end of dupatta with Shreyas shawl tightly making sure that it will not get loose at the time of pheras .

After that he called the elders for kanyadan.

"Vadhu ke mata pita kanyadan ke liye aage aaye."
(Please come forward, the bride's parents, for the Kanyadaan ceremony.)

Vijay and Riddhi climbed on the stage and performed the rituals. A lone  tear slipped from Nayan's eyes thinking about going away from her family even if they have never treated her like their family.

During Kanyadaan, the father of the bride -to-be holds her right hand and joins it with the right hand of the groom while asking the groom to take his daughter as his wife and partner. The Kanyadaan ritual symbolizes the father officially giving his blessing to the wedding of his daughter to the groom.

" Abb var aur vadhu phero ke liye khade ho jaye "
("Now, the bride and groom, please stand for the pheras.")

Shreyas stood up on his feets and helped Nayan to stand up because of her heavy lehenga.

Nayan's POV:-

I couldn't control it and a tear slipped from my eyes seeing mom and papa doing kanyadan.

After that the priest told us to stand up for pheras. He stood up and helped me with the lehanga to stand up .

"Thank you" I muttered but he just nodded in response.

How can I spend my life with this Asshole god?

"Pehle ke chaar phera var aage honge aur aakhir ke teen phero me vadhu aage hongi."
The priest said instructing.

("In the first four pheras, the groom will walk ahead, and in the last three pheras, the bride will walk ahead.")

With that he started taking steps forward and I followed him. The crowd was cheering and clapping.
