It was around 4 pm when Leilani and Theo got back from Diagon Alley with pockets full of Christmas presents. She couldn't even remember half the shit she had gotten for her friends and family, having only one thing in the back of her mind the entire time. It had gotten to the point where when she walked into someone for the fifth time, Theo had caught on to what was going on and kept sending her knowing smirks.
She had pinched his side every time.
Leilani heaved a breath when they entered their common room, feeling relief when spotting the familiar green interior and getting a sense of comfort rushing through her veins. Pansy was sitting on one of the sofas, sporting a black lace negligé and her hair put up into a bun. She was painting her fingernails when she glanced up, her face lighting up when she spotted them.
Leilani sat herself down next to her, covering her face with her hands "I'm never going shopping again"
"That bad, huh?" Pansy snorted, focusing on painting her nails. She then looked up at Theo, who was leaning against a wall with a raised brow "Whatever did you do to her, Theo?"
"She is overreacting" He rolled his eyes, heading for his dorm "We had plenty of fun. I even bought her ice cream"
"He did?" Pansy asked when he disappeared up the stairs, poking Leilani with her foot when she ignored her.
Removing her hands from her face and running them down her hair, Leilani smirked "Perhaps"
Pansy chuckled, before asking "What time is it?"
"Around four. Why?"
Her friend released a heavy breath "Tracy is dragging me to the hufflepuff party tonight"
Leilani paused, blinking at her friend "A hufflepuff party?"
Pansy nodded, not noticing her reaction as she focused on painting her nails with the dark red color "Yeah. All houses are invited, something about putting the past behind us" She scoffed a laugh "What bullshit"
However, Leilani heard none of it. If Hufflepuff was having a party tonight and all houses were invited, then that meant there was a big chance that Weasley would be there. It would also mean that Susan Bones had the perfect chance to put her claws into him again and Leilani was not about to just let that happen.
A picture of Bones walking up to him sensually, swaying her hips in what was supposed to be attractive as she neared Weasley formed in her mind, making Leilani quietly seeth. Without thinking, she blurted out "Can I come?"
As Pansy put the nail polish away, she paused her movements to glance at the young Malfoy in front of her "You?"
"No, Merlin" She rolled her eyes, lightly hitting Pansy's foot "Yes, me. I've been to plenty of parties before, no need to sound so surprised"
"I know that, Leilani. It's just...you hate parties"
"I don't" Leilani argued, knowing for a fact that she did hate parties. She didn't like the amount of people, the loud music and quite frankly, it was boring if you weren't intoxicated by something. Parties were just an excuse for people to drink and shag. When Pansy sent her a raised brow, she released a breath "Alright, i do. But...I have nothing better to do. I'll just leave if i hate it"
"You don't need my permission to come with, love" Pansy said, standing up and stretching "I would be delighted if you tagged along. Let's get ready, i have a dress that would look lovely on you"
She bit back a smile, following her friend up the stairs to their shared dormitory and for the first time Leilani actually felt excited to go to a party.
