Wake up

Eddie's POV:
I woke up from my nap to my phone ringing non-stop, so I rolled over and saw it was Christopher.

Hey Chris, what's up?

Dad! Dad I need you. They're taking dad to the hospital now I could hear his sobs through the phone.

Okay, I'm on my way. Where are you?

Athena is taking me to the hospital

Okay buddy, I'm on my way, I'll meet y'all there

I hung up and immediately jumped up to grab Lilah out of bed. I quickly put Lilah in her car seat and began driving to the hospital.

I ran inside, Lilah in my arms and saw Christopher sitting with Athena. "What happened?" I asked worried looking at Athena.

"Well, Buck and Chris were eating and Tommy's brother decided to stab Buck. He has a stab wound in his lower abdomen, and the doctors have him in surgery now" Athena explained. I covered my mouth in shock and felt tears began to flood my eyes. "Let me take Lilah so you can sit with Chris" she said softy as she grabbed Lilah from my arms.

"Dad, is he gonna be okay?" Chris sniffled when I sat next to him. I looked at him and just hugged him tightly.

"I sure hope so Christopher" I choked out as I released him from my grasp.

"Hey, I called Maddie, she's on her way, and chimney is going to take Lilah home with him to stay the night so you can be with Buck" Athena told me as she sat back down. I nodded and just stared blankly at the floor waiting for a doctor to come out.

After about two hours a doctor came out to the waiting room so I stood up. "Is he okay?" I asked worried.

"He will be fine, he should be waking up soon if you want to go see him" the doctor responded.

"Oh my god, thank you so much!" I smiled as the tears began flowing again.

I walked into the room and saw Buck laying in bed just barely opening his eyes when I walked in. I saw a smile grow on his face causing me to smile back.

"Hey handsome" Buck said groggily.

"Hey" I smiled through my tears of joy and sat down in the chair next to the bed. He reached his hand over to hold my face and wipe my tears softly with his thumb.

"I'm okay, I promise" he whispered and I nodded.

"I love you so much Evan. I was so scared" I told him and squeezed his hand. He gave my hand a light squeeze back and smiled at me.

"I love you too Eddie, besides, they can't take me out that easy" he chuckled then winced in pain.

"Don't hurt yourself laughing" I chuckled and wiped my face. Just then Chris walked into the room.

"Hey buddy!" Buck smiled causing Chris to smile back.

"Dad! You're okay!" Chris smiled and walked over to hug him.

"Ooh careful bud" Buck winced as Chris hugged him.

"Sorry" Chris replied awkwardly and took a step back.

"It's okay bud, I'm okay" Buck replied with a smile. "Where's Lilah?" He asked looking around.

"Maddie and Chim met us here while you were in surgery, she's sleeping over at their place" I explained and he nodded. He yawned and I could tell he was tired again. "Hey, get some sleep, I'm gonna get Chris home and we'll see you tomorrow okay?" I added. I gave him a soft kiss before taking Christopher home with me.
