inspired by DND Earth by Smaugthedm, this is my take on it. It incorporates the lore of many different franchises into 1 universe and is set on an alternate version of Earth.
In the mid 1970s,when cyberspace was in its infancy,a group of programmers in Japan would devise a project that would deal with potential junk data in the future; a digital ecosystem, composed of various programs that would deal with varying file sizes. The main programmer's son,Ryo Akiyama,aided in this by providing the bases for these programs from the various creatures he drew,along with providing ideas for the program,such as every one of them advancing to deal with different issues,along with with organizing them all under ".Mon"
Unbeknownst to the programmers,their digital ecosystem somehow connected to a blank Pocket dimension within the outworlds (a series of parallel dimensions that are connected to the main universe.) and the programs began to manifest as living beings all resembling the characters that Ryo illustrated.
The first 2 beings to exist in the digital world was the main program dubbed "Yggdrasil" and a copy ai of Ryo Akiyama himself. The former of which named himself King Drasil, and declare himself ruler of the digital world.
