Chapter 6

Jayna's pov

Jayden's father left with the girl but promised he would be back and when he did there would be a war. I was glad when Jovani showed up because he instantly took over and kept everyone in line. Around him, I felt safe. Jayden went to his room because he was upset with everything that was going on.

Tobias was back and behaving for now. Drake showed up as well now the only one left of the men to show up was Liam, but I knew he would be here shortly. I was face to face with my past and what I have done. I didn't feel guilty for being with each of the men because every one of them meant something to me. They were a lesson but now I know my heart only beats out for Jayden. I am scared with all that is going on he will leave me.

"Jayna, what's got you so deep in thought? Don't tell me you're fussing over the threats that idiot made?" Kingston said.

"No, I know him, and my mother will come after us and I am prepared for a fight. I just don't want to be the one that brings down all the realms."

"You did nothing wrong. You acted on feelings, and we have all done that at least once in our life. We will figure all of this out. Right now, the problem I have is Tobias. I just feel as if he can't be trusted."

"I don't trust him either. Kingston I am not saying we run away but I just don't want this fight. I feel like I could do better in the realms if we leave here and go somewhere else and plan our next move."

"Where would you want to go? Are you talking about giving up the thrown?"

"No, I am just saying we need to leave this castle because I don't know who I can trust here. I want to go somewhere no one would think we would be so we can plan and be prepared. Here I am just waiting for people who say they are going to protect me to turn on me and then we will fail."

"I do agree with that. I don't think everyone here has your back, but I don't think we could go to any of the realms and not be found. I know Tobias being a ghost doesn't work in our favor."

"I am about to take care of that issue."

"How?"

I got closer to him and started to whisper in his ear how Lea is also part witch, and she found a spell that will make it so Tobias is no longer a ghost but fully Fae and she is going to cast another spell when we get to where we are going so no one can find us. I was happy that Lea said she would come with me. I didn't want to leave her behind.

Now I needed to go to the men I did trust and ask them to blindly follow me into an unknown place. I wanted to hide out on the human realm everyone calls Earth. None of us had ever been there before so this was going to be scary, but I knew no one would come looking for us there because it wasn't a place the Fae Queen would ever go.

Kingston said he was on board, and I couldn't help myself I pulled him into me and kissed him. He didn't kiss me back at first because I think he was in shock. I pulled him into my office and locked the door. I knew in the back of my mind somewhere I shouldn't do this, but I was so in the moment I just didn't care.

I wanted Kingston and I was once again going to give in and have what I desired. I knew if Jayden ever found out he would be hurt but I just needed Kingston at the moment. I felt like he was someone that would always be in my life. I wasn't so sure about anyone else right now, but I knew Kingston would always be there to protect me.

Kingston pulled me into his body, and I just breathed him in. He looked at me with pleading eyes as if asking my permission to go any further. I smiled at him and shook my head yes. He started to undress me as I undressed him. We never broke contact as if we needed that to survive. I needed him and he needed me at this moment that was all that mattered.
