Chapter 18
Jena's pov
I looked up to see my daughter crash threw the front door of my castle and say, "Hello mother!" Then everything started happening so fast. I thought she ran away scared, but I underestimated her. I wasn't prepared for a war here. I was going to take over the human realm and make it my own. Leave it to this bitch to once again ruin everything I have planned. None the less she was going to pay for it with her life.
I looked at her and her men and knew we could easily take them on. One by one came through my doors and I was shocked to see Maxim was with them. So, if he switched sides, he would also feel my wrath. Then more and more came in and then my ex-husband came in with a hoard of shifters and that was when I began to worry.
"What the hell are you doing here Javion you have no place in this fight!"
"You are messing with my daughter, so I have every right to be here. You can give up now and let my daughter take her rightful place. Spare all the lives that will be taken just so you can get your way. Throwing a temper tantrum is so beneath you don't you think Jena?"
I just wanted to wipe that smug look off of his face. With all the people I wanted revenge on in one room, this was going to be fun. I would wipe out all of them and then rule the realms with only the people I allow to live by my side. That sounds like the perfect plan. Yes, I was a little nervous seeing my ex-husband because he knew everything about me, but I looked at the few shifters they had and knew we could easily win this war so now I wouldn't just give up like he wanted me to.
"You guys came here for a fight, and it just wouldn't be right to not give you guys what you so clearly want."
Gypsy came and stood at my side. She looked at Jayden who had just shifted into his human form and sneered as he grabbed Jayla's hand. Looks like my daughter pissed off the wrong shifter this time. It's out of my hands now what happens is set in stone and it is all her fault for not keeping her legs closed and going after someone else's property. She gets what she gets, and I will be damned if I stop it.
"Gypsy will you take out the trash for me?" I asked.
She looked over at me and smiled knowing exactly what I meant. I loved how sadistic she was. She was going to be by my side as I ruled. The daughter I always wanted to have. Powerful and just as thirsty for revenge as I am. I was not going to take part in this feud because I had better things to do. I started to walk away, and I heard a growl a little too close to my comfort. I looked up and saw a wolf close enough to pounce on me. This must be one of my daughter's many lovers.
"You aren't going anywhere." The wolf growled out at me.
"Mother you are a part of this fight don't run away scared and allow everyone else to fight the fight you started."
The fight I started. How dare she! This little bitch stole my crown and messed up my legacy. Everything I worked so hard to achieve. She did this every death that happens here today will be on her. She will forever be stained with the blood of the fallen. I will stay and fight because I want to watch the look in her eyes as I take her life force from her. I am going to destroy them all.
Jayden's pov
Gypsy kept looking at Jayla and it made me angry, so I went up and grabbed her hand to let everyone know where my alliance stood. Jena was trying to run off and have everyone else fight, but Kingston put a stop to that real fast. The way she looked at Jayla I knew she was coming for her, but no one was going to allow that to happen. I would give up my life to save hers. We all would.
I kissed Jayla on the cheek and shifted into my dragon form. I could hear gypsy scream out and knew I had just angered her, but I didn't care one little bit. Jayla told me to take out the guards protecting her mother because she wanted to deal with her on her own. I nodded and then she looked to her father giving him the sign to have the others come now. We all knew what we were to do, and we got prepared.
I was going to do what I had to, but I was also going to keep an eye on Gypsy I didn't trust her. I knew her because we grew up together, but I had never seen her like this. She was more like Jayla's mother than Jayla was. They can live together forever in the Nether because today we would be victorious. Jayla would once again be Queen and bring peace within all the realms. I believed in her.
Jayla's pov
My mother thought we would just let her walk away and not be a part of this. She was crazy and had no morals whatsoever. How could she allow everyone else to die for her? I know any one of the people surrounding me would die for me, but I won't allow that. I am so glad I am not my mother's daughter. I will never be like her. She can have Gypsy, but they will have to reign in the Nether because that's where I planned on sending the both of them.
I looked behind me and I saw a sea of shifters, witches, and warlocks. I looked at my mother and her mouth dropped open. She didn't expect someone to turn on her I could see that, and she underestimated me that was her first mistake. I didn't want this fight but there was no turning back. It was on.
