Jena's pov

I have heard from everyone else that Jayla isn't in any of the other realms. The only one I haven't heard back from is Tobias. I sensed he was in some kind of trouble but I'm not sure what. I need him back here so we can get started on my plan. If he wasn't here soon, I would go on without him. I am already doing this without Maxim since he has all of a sudden had a change of heart. He will regret that when I am in charge, and I send him and his son to the Nether.

I have trusted all the wrong people before, but I gained a great ally with Gypsy. She wanted revenge just as much as I did. She hated Jayla and wanted to bring her to an end. She was also a powerful shifter. I wish she was a fae because I would love to have someone as powerful as her for a daughter, but I was just glad she was on my side. With her, there was no way I would lose this war.

Gypsy and I decided to not worry about Tobias coming back. I figured he betrayed me and was long gone by now. I had other things to worry about. Gypsy and I came up with our plan in two days we would be going to the human realm and end them. The human realm was the biggest of all the realms. They had no special abilities, so they didn't deserve it.

I would find Jayla later and end her but for now, I was going to destroy the weak little humans and take over their realm for my own. Then once I had that I would move on to the others and take them over as well. I would be in control of everything. If anyone tried to stop me, I would send them to the nether. It was my time to reign, and nothing was going to get in my way.

Jayla's pov

I couldn't believe Tobias was dead. Micah was so shaken up about it that he told all of us to leave. He couldn't even look at me. I wanted to know all about his father and mine being friends but that would have to wait for another time. Right now, he needed time to process everything and so did I. I needed to get back and tell everyone else what had happened.

Once Lea, Hartley, and I walked in Jayden knew something was up and bombarded us with questions. I didn't get what his issue was until I looked behind him and saw his father standing there. What the hell was he doing here and why was Jayden acting like it was all ok? We leave to take care of one problem, so everyone is safe, and he invites one of the biggest problems we have into our home. How dare he.

"Jayden what the hell is going on here?"

"Well while you were out with your little human boyfriend my father got in contact with me and let me know what was going on with your mother and Gypsy."

"I am not dating a human and you are falling into his trap, and you just put everyone at risk. Maybe it's time for you to leave and go back to your little shifter girlfriend."

He looked hurt after I said that but at this moment I didn't care. He was the one who did this what he said to me hurt as well. He was the one that ignored me and acted as if I no longer existed so why is he so hurt? I wanted him but he seems to want to leave so there's the door he can go I am not forcing him to stay here.

"Jayla my father is on our side he left your mother when he found out how evil she truly is and now she and Gypsy are planning on coming here and taking over the human realm no matter how many they have to kill in the process. We can't allow this to happen."

"I don't trust your father but if what he is saying is true then no we can't let this happen."

"So, what are we going to do about this?" Lea and Hartley asked at the same time.

I looked up to see everyone that I thought of as family looking at me as if the fate of all humans rested on my shoulders and well, I guess it did. I knew what we had to do but it scared me because I wasn't sure we were prepared for war just yet. Now we had no choice. I knew what needed to be done and ready or not we had to do this.

"We bring the fight to my mother and end this once and for all."
