I noticed something weird while I was doing my homework. I could not stop thinking about Keira.  I was trying to create a proper sentence with the correct clauses when Keira's face kept popping into my mind.  Her nice hair, her perfect smile, her beautiful blue eyes...

...she's been on my mind a lot lately.

After dinner (roasted turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, sweetcorn, and sparkling apple juice) I head up to my room and put on my pajamas. Following my nightly reading for about twenty minutes, I turn out the lamp and fall asleep.

The next day, after school, I walk over to the quiet side of the building, where it's just grass and trees and a neighborhood across the street. I sit down on the bench and crack open my book.

Suddenly, I sense someone looking at me. I turn my head to the left and see Keira leaning against the brick wall of the school. I smile, set my book down, and walk over to her. She grins back.

"Whatcha doing?" She asks.

"Oh ya know..." I say, casually.

She smiles, then her face changes.  She looks at me with this look I've never seen before.

"So, what do you want to... uh..." I watch nervously as her eyes flick from eyes then my mouth.

We stand there, Keira and I, and before I know it, our heads are moving closer.  My mind races as our lips come closer and closer, until...

I shoot up, breathing heavily.  Oh gosh.  It takes me a few seconds before I realize I'm in my room.  I'm covered in cold sweat.  I look at my clock. 3:27 AM. Oh gosh. But Keira... the-- OH CRAP I left my book on that bench-- no no no it was a dream.  It couldn't have been a dream!  But itt was all so real. With the wall, and the book, and the-- the KISS?  But-- It was a dream.  Who knows what else has been a dream?

I argue with myself, until finally I give up and go to bed. I sleep fitfully for the rest of the night.
