Oh my God... that girl looks exactly like Keira... wait, IS IT? No... it can't be! I take a closer look... oh. Okay, it's not. Holy moly that was freaky.
I realize that everyone has stopped talking and is looking at me. Ms. Mortem has that look teachers have... I can't describe it. Oh geez, they asked me a question. I knew you shouldn't have obsessed over Keira... I mean really... STOP! Listen! SAY SOMETHING!
"Um... well, yeah, it actually was really fun..." I say confidently.
"Great! I glad you had a good time," Ms. Mortem resumes writing on the whiteboard. Gosh I'm good. I can normally take a really good shot at what I think someone said if I wasn't listening.
I fall back into la la land for a few minutes, until I hear my new English teacher call on someone.
"Kyra?" Yep. You guessed it. The girl who looks like Keira, her name is Kyra. Pinch me I must be dreaming.
"A conjunction is basically a connector word that joins parts of sentences together. For example: and, but, because, thus... etc.," Kyra says with admirable confidence.
"Thank you Kyra! That was a wonderful explanation," Ms. Mortem does the classic teacher laugh.
Well, at least this school isn't that boring... but I still miss Wya- oh. Yeah. Huh. Whelp! It's not my fault! Whatever... forget him.
