I sit there for a while, my head in my hands, when I hear a familiar BEEP! It's the sound of our intercom. I stumble out of bed and press a button. I clear my throat and whimper,
"Who is it?"
The sound is crackly, "It's Keira..."
Oh, geez! "Uh, I'll be down in a minute!"
I race over to my dresser, yank the drawers open, and grab my clothes. After changing out of my pajamas, I race to the sink in the bathroom and brush my teeth like never before. I grab my comb, run it through my hair, check the mirror... and done! A new record! I practically fall down the stairs and heave the door open. Keira is still standing there. Thank God.
"Hey Hudson! I just came over because you never answered my message."
"Oh yeah," I say, leaning on the door frame. "My computer crashed."
"Huh. Well, wanna walk with me?" She asks.
"Oh yes definitely." I walk out the door without saying goodbye. I was finally going to spend alone time with my girl!
