I do my usual routine in the cages before heading out to the field. I set up the auto pitcher, and grip my bat. Kachunk! The ball soars out of the chute and right to my waiting bat. It going flying into the outfield... it's going, going, GONE!!! That'd be a home run! I run around the bases, hands in the air. YES!!!
After baseball, I head home. I stop in front and admire my house. I head inside and see my parents sitting together at the dining room table, discussing something. They look frustrated. I trot over to them.
"Hey Mom, hey Dad."
"Oh oh, you startled us Hudson." Dad says as he turns back to the papers spread before them.
"What are you doing?" I ask, peering closer.
My mother snatches the papers out of my reach. "Oh, you know, just... boring paperwork. Nothing interesting."
"Alright then..." I say as I turn towards the rec room. Odd. Very odd.
I open the door to the rec room. A blast of cold air conditioning hits me in the face. I stroll over to the ice cream machine in the back and make a soft serve cone. As I lick my treat, I squish my toes in the soft carpet. I grin. I never want to leave my house.
I head over to the foosball table and play a round by myself. After that, I head over to the entertainment center and play for awhile.
I holler for Herbert to come down. Almost immediately, Herbert appears at the door. I challenge the butler to a round of ping pong. He crushes me... Herbert's really good at it. He also plays a mean match of air hockey.
After that, I head out to the pool and do a cannonball off the high dive. And finally, I grab an air tube and float around. Ahhh, life is so good. What could go wrong?
