Draco blinked, his mind struggling to catch up with what Harry had just said. Harry liked him? The same Harry Potter who had been driving him insane with his presence for months now-the one person Draco had been determined to keep his feelings hidden from?

"Y-You're serious?" Draco stammered, his voice uncharacteristically shaky.

Harry smiled, a soft, tentative smile that made Draco's chest tighten in ways he couldn't quite describe. "Yes, I'm serious. I didn't know how to tell you. And, well, I guess we're both really good at hiding things, huh?"

Draco felt his heart skip a beat, the weight of the last few months crashing down on him. The constant lying, the cursed necklace, the fear of ruining everything between them-it had all been for nothing. Harry liked him. It seemed too good to be true.

Draco let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. He was still processing Harry's words, but he couldn't help the small, nervous laugh that escaped him. "Well, this is... unexpected."

Harry chuckled softly, scratching the back of his neck in that awkward way he always did when he was nervous. "Yeah, I didn't exactly plan on confessing today either. But you-well, you've been acting weird, and now with the necklace, I just... I had to ask."

Draco glanced down at the necklace, which had finally stopped glowing now that the truth was out. He couldn't help but feel a sense of relief, though the situation was still surreal. After all this time, after all the hiding and lying, Harry was standing right in front of him, confessing the same feelings Draco had been terrified to admit.

Draco took a deep breath, the tension in his body slowly easing. "So... what now?"

Harry took a step closer, his expression soft but filled with something that made Draco's pulse quicken. "I don't know," Harry said, his voice quiet but steady. "But maybe we don't have to hide anymore. Maybe we can just... figure it out. Together."

Draco's heart raced as he looked into Harry's green eyes, seeing something there that he had never allowed himself to believe was real. There was no teasing, no sarcasm, no rivalry. Just... openness. Honesty.

For the first time in a long time, Draco felt like he didn't have to lie anymore. He didn't have to pretend or hide behind snarky comments. He could just... be.

"I'd like that," Draco said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Harry smiled, his eyes lighting up with warmth, and Draco felt something inside him melt. It was the smile that had driven him mad for months, the smile he had tried to ignore and push away, and now it was directed at him, and for the first time, Draco allowed himself to fully enjoy it.

"I'm glad," Harry said, his voice soft as he reached out, gently brushing his fingers against Draco's arm.

The touch was simple, but it sent a spark through Draco's entire body. He couldn't help the way his breath hitched slightly, his gaze flicking down to Harry's hand before meeting his eyes again.

Harry chuckled, clearly noticing Draco's reaction. "Still flustered, Malfoy?"

Draco rolled his eyes, though there was no real bite to it. "Shut up, Potter."

But before Draco could make any more sarcastic remarks, Harry did something that caught him completely off guard.

He stepped even closer, so close that Draco could feel the warmth of his body, and gently cupped Draco's face with one hand. His thumb brushed against Draco's cheek, and Draco's heart stopped in his chest.

"I've wanted to do this for a while," Harry murmured, his voice low and filled with something that made Draco's knees feel weak.

Draco swallowed hard, his pulse racing as Harry leaned in, their faces just inches apart. "Then what's stopping you?"

Harry smiled, and before Draco could say anything else, Harry closed the distance between them and pressed his lips to Draco's in a soft, tentative kiss.

For a moment, Draco was too stunned to react. His mind went blank, and all he could focus on was the sensation of Harry's lips against his-warm, gentle, and impossibly soft. It was everything Draco hadn't allowed himself to imagine, everything he had been too scared to hope for.

But then, slowly, Draco's body relaxed, and he found himself responding to the kiss, his hands instinctively reaching up to grip Harry's shirt, pulling him closer.

The kiss deepened, becoming more certain, and Draco felt a rush of warmth spread through him, like everything inside him was finally falling into place. The weight of all the lies, all the pretending, melted away, leaving only this-just him and Harry, together, without any barriers.

When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting together as they stood there, the world around them fading into the background.

"Well," Harry said softly, his voice filled with amusement and something warmer, "I guess the necklace wasn't so bad after all."

Draco laughed, the sound light and free. "I don't know. I could've done without the whole glowing thing every time I lied."

Harry grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Maybe, but at least it got us here, right?"

Draco rolled his eyes again, though he couldn't stop the small smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah. I suppose."

There was a comfortable silence between them for a moment, and Draco felt a sense of peace he hadn't felt in a long time. He didn't know what was going to happen next, but for the first time, he wasn't worried about it. He didn't have to lie anymore. He didn't have to hide.

"I guess we're going to have to figure out this whole... relationship thing," Draco said, his voice lighter than it had been in weeks.

Harry chuckled, pulling Draco a little closer. "Yeah. But I think we'll manage."

Draco smirked, his usual confidence returning as he met Harry's gaze. "You realize you've just signed up for a lot of Slytherin attitude, right?"

Harry grinned, leaning in to press another soft kiss to Draco's lips. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the cursed necklace now nothing more than a faint glimmer between them, Draco realized that maybe, just maybe, this had been the twist of fate he needed all along.

The End.
