Jimin just keeps moving forward. He knows he'll fall apart if he stops. The warmth of Tae amd the need to get them to Jungkookie is the only thing that's keeping him moving. The only thing which is tying him to the present not letting him get lost in his head. In the what ifs.

He moves forward towards the wreckage. He can feel the heat kicking at his suit but he needs to move. He hears fabric shuffling behind him. The others are following now as well. He was glad. He wanted to help them too but his attention zeroed onto Taehyung who looked like he could fall over any second.

They keep moving. After what felt like hours they finally arrived at the scene of destruction. That bomb really was fatal. He could see all the charred dead bodies of the people they killed lying on the floor. Their faces beyond recognition.

But there was no remorse. No regret. He did not feel an ounce of guilt shooting these people dead. Such lowlifes were not his concern.

He looked around trying to see past the smoke. He felt Taehyung move and he let him go. He C turned around and saw the others were looking around too. Not at the carnage but the corridor to their beloved. He knows they didn't even spare a glance to the dead bodies.

He moves forward and finally the corridor is visible. He turns and says, "Hyung there. I can see it now. Let's go."

Namjoon nods and comes beside him. He looks forward but his hand comes to rest on Jimin's nape. Jimin smiles. A small tiny thing but he does. He looks at Namjoon and tries to assure him not really knowing if he does the job.

Namjoon looks at him and smiles in return. He's never seen Hyung smile like that. A smile so heartbreaking that his heart breaks all over again. He nudges him and they move forward.

He wished to sprint. To run. To finally look at what was left. But he couldn't bring himself to. What if all he saw was the charred remind of a body he could recognize in his sleep. What if he finds Jungkook dead like all the ones here. He doesn't think he'll survive that. A piece of his heart, gone forever.

But he moves and he keeps moving and sees Taehyung just ahead, stopped in front of the corridor. Not daring to enter. He can empathize. The war rages inside him to run towards or away from what he doesn't know. To spare him the pain. But he has to keep moving. So he does.

He comes beside Taehyung and stand at his side.

"Jimin~ah." Taehyung calls in a soft voice.

Jimin hmms. He doesn't think he has the ability to speak more than this.

"I don't think I would survive seeing-", he breaks on the word, "-seeing him dead." Taehyung whispers.

Hobi Hyung comes beside him and hugs Taehyung~ah tight. He knows this is as much for himself as it is for Taehyung. He can hear Tae crying, his heart twisting further but he can't look away from the corridor.

He needs to move. He needs to see now. The suspense is killing him. The idea of him dead almost makes him want to hurl but that little hope. That tiny little thing is urging him to believe that Jungkook~ah is alive.

He's strong. One of the most intelligent people he has met. Surely, surely he will survive. Right ? Right. He will. For that he needs to move.

Jin Hyung comes stand beside him on his left and Yoongi Hyung comes to his right. They both keep their hands on his back. Giving his the support he needs to move. He looks at them and could see his own heartbreak reflecting in their eyes.

He knows in the deepest part of him that if they find Jungkook dead, they would never ever be the same. Something will break and he's not sure any of them would have the ability or the heart to repair it.

He opens his mouth to say something, willing anything to come out of his mouth when he hears it.

A sob. Or it sounded like it.

Jimin's head snaps at that direction. And before he knows it he's running ahead.

The only thought in his mind

HE'S ALIVE
