"We've been courting him for months now, and he hasn't even noticed!" Jisung whined as he slid back onto the couch dramatically. It had only been three hours since Hyunjin left- three long hours of Jisung complaining loudly, and the pack was already at their wits end.
"I got him flowers after his art lecture," Changbin agreed as he plopped down next to Jisung. They had already finished the breakfast, leaving them all to mope in their own pity parties at their failed courting.
"Yeah, well, I made him homemade soup," Minho added, "and he gave me a kiss on the cheek."
"Yeah? Well, I got one on the forehead!"
"He was sick and delirious, that doesn't even count, Jisung."
"Nu uh! He didn't have a fever anymore!"
"Well... He called me puppy!"
"Lix, he calls all of us puppies. Sometimes Mutt when he's mad at us."
"Guys!" Chan shouted, and the living room fell silent as the pack looked up at him with innocent eyes, like they hadn't just been fighting over Hyunjin like he was some kind of dog bone.
"Sorry Chan," they all chorused, and Chan only sighed helplessly.
"We need to make our intentions more clear... Let's move on to plan B."
As the others scrambled around like headless chickens to change into their nicest clothes, Chan refused to mention the fact that Hyunjin slept on top of him with a hand up his shirt, because that would only make the chaos worse.
Hyunjin didn't know what to expect when all seven wolves showed up at his apartment doorstep with seven different sets of flowers and puppy eyes.
It was sunset and he had gotten a lot of work done for the day. He finished a new artwork, albeit rushed, it was presentable enough to at least score him half of the points for his portfolio. He worked a shift at the coffee shop, and even dropped by the market to pick up some beef jerky on the way back.
Which led him to now, opening his door and looking at the seven all lined up before him, and all that Hyunjin could do was gap at them, perplexed as Chan offered him pretty purple flowers that he recognized from the flower patch in the forest.
"These are for you," he said, and Hyunjin delicately took the flowers to hold them up to his face and smell them. Lavender.
"...Thanks?" It sounded more like a question, but Chan just smiled before the others were immediately shoving their own flowers into Hyunjin's arms, all talking over each other in a way that reminded Hyunjin of a puppy litter trying to win over their owner.
"Guys," he hefted the flowers up in his arms so that he wouldn't drop the pretty yellow ones that Felix had picked for him. Sunflowers. Hyunjin didn't even know that these flowers could exist in the cold snowy atmosphere but apparently, he was wrong.
"I appreciate the flowers and all... but why?"
Minho huffed and gave Hyunjin a very unimpressed deadpan look. "You had seven men bring you flowers to your doorstep, and you seriously don't know why?"
Hyunjin looked over all of the hopeful faces before him, and slowly shook his head, feeling even more and more like an idiot as the seconds passed.
Finally, Felix had the mercy to break the silence and elaborate for his struggling mind. "We're all asking you to go on a date with us, Jinnie."
Hyunjin nearly dropped the flowers to the floor in surprise, but luckily, Changbin was there to steady them and carefully pluck them from his grasp to carry. Now that his arms were free, Hyunjin crossed them over himself self consciously because he was still wearing his stained work apron. "You... all of you.. Want to go on a date? With me?"
