"I am so going to fail this final," Hyunjin groaned into his hands. He still had a night to study for it- an entire night of suffering through math equations by himself in his apartment.
Well, until he got a phone call from Changbin ordering him to come over to get some last minute studying done with him, Felix, and Jisung (because apparently they were struggling just as much as he was.)
"Are you sure we're going to actually get work done?" Hyunjin asked in a warning tone, and Changbin scoffed. Hyunjin could practically hear him rolling his eyes over the line.
"We're not going to spend our study time making out, don't worry."
"Not our entire study time," Jisung chimed in somewhere from the background, followed by the sound of crashing that could only be Changbin tackling him to the ground.
"Mercy!" Jisung begged, and the phone that clattered to the ground was picked up by Felix.
"Jinnie? Are you coming?"
"I'll be there in ten."

As soon as Hyunjin was welcomed into the den by the still squabbling trio, the first thing he noticed was the emptiness of the den.
"Where's everyone else?" He asked, toeing off his shoes next to the front door as Jisung pouted.
"Are we not enough for you?" Changbin whined, leading Hyunjin to their study table in the middle of the room. "The others are all trying to strike a deal at the meat market. Something about low prices for steak or something- not that it matters, they'll eat the meat raw or cooked."
It should have been gross- but Hyunjin just thought it was funny. He laughed to himself as he settled down, his back to the front door and front to the couch enough to see the puzzles and artwork hung above it. It was a nice little collage, the lamplight reflecting off of the artwork until one specific one that he had never seen before, sitting just to the side, caught his eye.
From next to Hyunjin, Felix nudged him. "Did you notice it?"
Hyunjin blinked once, twice, three times just to make sure he was seeing things before he got to his feet to slowly approach the fragile artwork. The others watched with bated breath as he numbly traced his fingers along the canvas.
It was shredded, but stitched and taped and even glued back together so much subtly that the white wolf was actually visible- just a bit discombobulated.
Hyunjin's breath hitched as he traced along his once mutilated art, feeling tears prick at the corners of his eyes because it was so lovingly revived and displayed. His art was usually never displayed.
Suddenly there were hands wrapping around him from behind, and he was pressed against Changbin's chest. "Sorry if we overstepped," he apologized into Hyunjin's ear- "but we thought it was a crime to let such a beautiful artwork go to waste."
Hyunjin sniffled some more and Felix gave an apologetic laugh when he realized they had made him cry, reaching out to wipe his tears away. "Jinnie, don't cry please."
"Yah-" Jisung agreed from his other side, "then I'll cry."
"You guys," Hyunjun gave them a wobbly smile, "you really didn't n-need to Frankenstein my a-art and hang it like this. It- it's not even good-"
"Stop that right now," Felix cut him off, "that artwork is beautiful and you worked hard on it. It deserves to be displayed on the wall of our den. We're proud of you, Hyunjin. No matter what your asshole professor says."
Hyunjin let out a choked sob, but the three surrounding him were nice enough to support his weight and help him to the couch so that he could snuggle some more into their arms.
