Hyunjin learns more about wolf dynamics

The moment Hyunjin arrived at the doorstep, he didn't have the time to even knock on the door before Jeongin was pulling him inside and slamming the door almost harshly behind him. "Innie-"

Suddenly, he was being led into the living room where Changbin and Chan paced holes into their fancy carpet while Minho and Seungmin talked to each other on the couch in low voices. Two missing presences were like a gaping hole in the living room.

"Guys?" Hyunjin asked nervously from the doorway, and everyone's heads immediately shot up to him. "What's wrong, is everything okay?"

"Everything is not okay!" Changbin immediately wailed, practically throwing himself on top of Hyunjin in a bare hug that would have made him fall to the floor if Jeongin wasn't behind him to stabilize him.

Hyunjin's heart rabbited in his chest as Jeongin reached over to push Changbin away and the others gathered around him. Hyunjin grabbed a very worried looking Changbin by either of his strong arms, "What is it? What's wrong?"

Minho sighed, "It's Felix and Jisung, they won't let any of us near them."

Hyunjin eyed the sad looking group, thoroughly confused. It would take a lot in order for kind hearted people like Jisung and Felix to ignore someone. "What did you do?"

Changbin huffed, "Why do you automatically assume that we did something wrong?"

"Because... It's Jisung and Felix?"

Chan sighed, moving Changbin to the side when Changbin just pouted. "Hyunjin, look, Jisung and Felix are in heat."

Hyunjin hummed, trying to hide the shock on his face since the others were looking so intently at him. "And you're telling me this, why?..." Hyunjin, personally, felt like he had no business ruining the sevens relationship by inserting himself into whatever pack dynamic they had going for them. Even so, everyone looked at him with hope.

"Normally they love to have our company," Minho explained, "but they won't let any of us get close to them- they've just been crying for you."

Hyunjin's mouth formed a small 'o' in surprise. "For... me?"

Changbin looked hurt at the mention of the two pushing him away, a pout on his lips that wasn't for show, but instead, out of sadness. Hyunjin could only assume that this.... Whatever this was, was not a normal occurrence. "Yes, they kicked us out of their nest. They've been crying for you.."

"But... I'm not a wolf."

"We know," Seungmin admitted, "It's weird. We called to see if you could calm them down."

Hyunjin felt his ears grow red at everyone's expectant looks, and the burning question on his tongue was one that he almost regretted asking the moment it left his mouth. "Aren't heats usually a sex thing? For mating season or something?"

Chan hummed, looking unbothered by the question despite Hyunjin's utter embarrassment. "Not necessarily. Sometimes they just need comfort and closeness, and sometimes, yeah, sex, but you don't have to worry about that since they pushed us away. They get clingy."

"They're already clingy," Hyunjin pointed out, and it wasn't a joke, but the others still huffed out their own little laughs. Hyunjin relaxed slightly at the sound, glad that no one was seriously maimed or hurt because at the sound of Jeongin's voice over the phone- it sounded like someone had been. "So... What do you want me to do?"

The werewolves all shared apprehensive glances with each other before Chan spoke up. "I hope that you brought some extra clothes and your homework? You'll probably be here for a while."

Hyunjin mentally groaned, looking down at his paint stained clothes. He shot a nasty look to a sheepish Jeongin, "Well, someone didn't exactly give me the time or notice to pack anything. I can grab an overnight bag and come back-"
