Felix confesses

Felix had never felt so stupid in his entire life. He had lived in this town since high school with his pack ever since he moved from Australia, and he knew damn well of the bear traps that littered the forest floor- apparently he just chose to ignore them that particular day.

It was the day before classes started up again and Felix just needed to get out of his skin- literally- and release some energy by shifting and going on an afternoon run through the forest. It was something he enjoyed doing to release his energy even if the others made fun of him for it.

"Be back before the sun goes down," Minho said absentmindedly from his place manning the stove. He always pretended to hate making them dinner but they all knew he loved it- especially when they complimented him by peppering kisses and bites on his face and neck. Sometimes, he even let his brown ears out and they were the the most endearing things that Felix had ever seen.

"I'll be back before then," Felix threw a hand over his shoulder. He had asked Jeongin and Jisung if either had wanted to tag along with him on his run because they typically always liked to burn some energy, but they had been napping together on the couch and Felix didn't want to interrupt them.

So it was just him and the wide expansion of the wooded territory around him. He would take his usual route through the willows, past the upturned grave of trees, to the stream and back. A few miles would do his pent up energy wonders.

Felix wasn't anxious like Jisung was with classes starting again, he was excited to be going into his second year and knew what to expect. It didn't mean that he still wasn't nervous to meet the new dance professor (because the last one had been an asshole vampire who didn't even know his left foot from his right.)

Felix always felt more comfortable In his wolf form, so feeling the dirt beat underneath his padded paws as he dodged through the trees was a breath of fresh air all the way up until he was so high with endorphins that he missed the rusted metal trap hidden underneath the underbrush.

The moment he stepped into it and it clamped down onto his leg in an unforgiving Vice, he was so pained that he couldn't even get his animal voice box to properly function in order to howl for help, at least, at first.

A bear trap to the foot wasn't a vital injury- even if it hit a major artery- because werewolves healed impressively fast. He didn't fear for his life, it was simply a matter of finding a way to get out of the trap, and just as he thought about morphing back to a human so he could wrench it away, he was interrupted.

He hadn't expected for a beautiful stranger to appear from between the willows, and he certainly hadn't expected for the beautiful stranger to show concern and help him out of the trap. He didn't even stop when Felix snapped at his face as a defense mechanism. He just fell back onto his butt and let out a cute noise of fear before simply trying again to help him.

Once he had finally been released, Felix's mind was too high with a mixture of pain and confusion, so before the worried stranger could drag him back to the vet, he followed his pack's panicked howls all the way back to their den- a cabin nestled comfortably in the middle of their territory.

As soon as he shifted back to his human form at the front door, blood smearing across the front porch as he dragged his splintered leg behind him, his pack was on him in an instant.

"Felix!" Jisung immediately helped him fling open the large front door, grabbing his arm and looping it over his shoulder. Jeongin, looking just as alarmed at the sight of blood staining a trail behind him, took his other side and together they lugged him to the couch.

Felix felt light with blood loss as his head was settled down onto a cushion that may or may not have been Jeongin's lap. He felt his eyes start to roll to the back of his head but Seungmin was quick to lightly tap his cheek until he was forced to focus his swimming vision back to the worried faces above him.
