-Jasper's POV-

"Bennett, get in. We'll give you a lift," Alice's voice was firm, with no room for argument, as she strode toward her parked car. Bennett, who had been preparing to walk home like usual, hesitated for only a moment before he veered off course, following Alice's command like a dog obedient to its master. Jessica had practically fled the library when her grandfather appeared, looking irritated and impatient. Good riddance.

I watched Bennett as he trailed behind Alice, his shoulders slumped, his face twisted into an expression of uncertainty. 'Good,' I thought, observing how he responded to Alice's unhappiness. He wasn't just reflecting his own emotions. He was feeding off hers, soaking in her disappointment and adopting it as his own. 'Interesting.'

"In." Alice's voice was sharp as she held the back door open, waiting for him to slide into the car. Already sensing that Alice wasn't pleased with him, Bennett moved quickly, head ducked down like he was preparing for some sort of scolding. His emotions were like putty in her hands, malleable and soft, ready to be shaped however we saw fit. I smiled to myself at the thought. Soon enough, Bennett wouldn't need to be prompted to feel this way; it would be his natural state around us. This meek, obedient behaviour wouldn't just surface when we were in private. It would become who he was.

He climbed into the car, and Alice shut the door behind him with a quiet click.

"Now, fasten your seatbelt." Her voice was a little gentler this time but still commanding. Bennett did as he was told, fumbling for the belt, and I could feel the tension rolling off him in waves. Alice had barely said anything yet, but her control over him was undeniable. Even I had to admit it was thrilling to watch her work.

As Alice started the car, her eyes briefly flickered to me, I gave her a subtle nod of approval, watching the corners of her lips lift slightly in response. She was still irritated, still bristling from the day's events, but she knew we were in control. We were always in control.

"So, Benny," Alice began, her voice deceptively sweet, "why did you invite Jessica?"

Bennett hesitated, his hands fiddling with the hem of his shirt as he stared down at his lap. "I'm sorry... my mum forced me to."

A surge of satisfaction washed over me. I watched him crumble under her gaze, falling right back into that submissive, apologetic role that he took on so quickly when he was around us. It was as if his assertiveness and stubbornness disappeared the moment we were alone with him. And I loved it. Soon enough, he wouldn't even question it. He wouldn't resist at all.

Alice glanced at me again, and I saw the same satisfaction in her eyes. She thrived on this just as much as I did.

"Is that right, Benny?" she asked, her voice soft but dripping with condescension.

"Yeah." His voice was small and quiet.

"And you didn't say no?" Alice pressed on, her tone taking on that sing-song quality she used when she knew she had someone in the palm of her hand.

"No... I didn't," he admitted, and I could practically hear the guilt weighing down his words.

"Why not?" Alice continued her voice light and almost teasing, as though she were speaking to a child. Bennett responded exactly like one, shrinking under her gaze, his voice barely whispering as he spoke.

"She didn't let me... she got angry."

I smirked, leaning back in my seat, enjoying this far too much. Bennett was so malleable, so easy to manipulate, and it fascinated me to watch how he unravelled in Alice's presence. His emotions, his thoughts, they all became hers to play with. He didn't stand a chance. And the more we worked on him, the more I realised that he liked this. He wanted to be guided, to be told what to think, what to feel.

"How often does she get angry?" Alice asked, her voice dipping slightly, a little edge creeping in now. She already knew the answer but wanted Bennett to say it aloud. She wanted him to confront it.

"Not too often", Bennett said softly, "only when she's had enough. She knew I hadn't talked to Jessica in a while and and got upset with me."

I glanced at Alice, noticing how her grip on the steering wheel tightened for a moment. I could still feel the lingering frustration from this morning when she told me about the vision. Jessica had appeared in her vision, sitting far too close to Bennett, laughing with him. That's when Alice had gotten angry. Furious, really. The way she'd paced around the room, her eyes sharp, her movements frantic, it had been intoxicating to watch. She was so focused, so determined to keep Bennett 'ours'. I'd never seen her like that before, and it had only deepened my obsession with her. The more she needed him, the more I needed 'her'.

The memory of her this morning, the wild gleam in her eye, her possessiveness, stirred something primal in me. I found her more attractive when she was like that, when her obsessive nature took over, and all she could think about was keeping Bennett under control. It was addictive, watching her spin plans in her head, strategising how to keep Jessica away from him.

"And why was Jessica so mad at you today?" Alice asked, her tone darkening slightly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. We both knew the answer. We both saw what had happened in the library.

"I... I don't know," Bennett replied, sounding small, confused, sad. His confusion made me grin. It was perfect. The more conflicted he was, the easier it would be to pull him apart from her. He didn't know why Jessica had snapped at him, but we did. It was only the beginning of her unravelling.

"Did you say something mean to her?" Alice asked, playing the innocent questioner even though we were both very aware of every word spoken back at the library.

"No, nothing."

"Well, that isn't nice," Alice continued, her voice growing softer but colder. "If she gets that angry over nothing, I'd hate for her to be anywhere near you when she gets angry again."

"I've never seen her angry before," Bennett whispered. His voice wavered as he spoke, his uncertainty turning into something more profound. He was scared of her, of what she could do. Perfect.

"Benny, I don't think she's right for you," Alice said gently, her voice laced with something almost sympathetic. "But that's okay. Not long now."

Bennett stared out the window, his eyes wide and blank, taking in her words without fully understanding them. He was so easy to manipulate, so desperate for validation. We had him in the palm of our hands, and he didn't even know it.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Alice added.

"Tomorrow?" Bennett blinked, confused.

"At church, silly."

"You're coming?" His voice lifted slightly in surprise, and I could see a glimmer of hope in his eyes. He wanted us there more than he realised.

"Of course we are," Alice said with a grin, "and we are bringing our parents. They're so excited to meet you."

"They are?" Bennett asked, his voice small again, unsure.

"Who wouldn't be?" Alice finished, her tone dripping with false sweetness.

I watched as Bennett leaned back in his seat, his face etched with confusion and sadness but also a strange, quiet anticipation. He didn't know what was coming. He didn't know how much deeper we were pulling him into our web.

And I couldn't wait to see him fall.
