Lingling woke up in the morning to Orm's lips, kissing her. This was no dream. Yet it was all her dreams coming true. And it was the only way she wanted to be woken up, ever again. Orm kissed her with a smile, a smile so contagious, it filled Lingling up with joy.
Her hands immediately reached to hold her,
"Orm... you're killing me..." Lingling whined at her lips
"Good morning to you too, Teerak" Orm said sweetly. Lingling chuckled.
She kissed with equal vigour, letting Orm know just how much she appreciated this. Their lips moved like they'd been kissing for years, it felt familiar, like they had been doing this in a previous lifetime.
"How are you feeling?" Lingling asked then
"I feel good" Orm said.
"The meds worked well" Lingling said,
"Nah I think it was the soup... It was so good Lingling, you gotta give me the recipe!" Orm said
"Yea.. um.. About that..." Lingling was nervous now. Would Orm be mad, if she admitted the truth?
"What is it, Teerak?" Orm lightly grazed her thumb along Lingling's worried eyebrow, relaxing it immediately. Lingling would have called it a magic touch.
"Orm, I don't really know how to make chicken soup..." There she said it. It was out there now.
"I don't understand" Orm chuckled.
"Well, I freaked out yesterday, because I knew I wanted to come over and be with you... but I've never really... you know.. cared for someone that way when they're sick... I was scared of the... intimacy of it all...of what it means..."
Orm listened carefully.
"So I called Win, and she gave me a few tips, and she suggested I make you soup." Lingling explained.
"So it was his idea. That's okay, Teerak" Orm assured.
"Not just her idea, she literally hand-held me through the recipe too. I was texting her constantly while making it. There were voice notes and everything" Lingling looked embarrassed.
She finally looked into Orm's eyes, searching. But all she could see was adoration.
"Teerak... that's just the sweetest thing" Orm said, smiling sweetly.
"It is? You're not mad that I lied?" Lingling asked,
"It's the kind of lie that makes me want to kiss you some more, Teerak"
Lingling smiled
Orm looked thoughtful then, and Lingling expected her to lean in and kiss her again. But Orm sat up, Lingling placed her hand on Orm's back. "You okay?" Lingling asked, worried.
Orm turned her head, winked at Lingling and then reached for the hem of her t-shirt, and took it off.
Lingling's eyes went wide, she hoisted herself up a little against the pillows behind her,
"Orm!?!" Lingling's eyes were fixed on Orm's smooth glorious back, her skin looked... delicious in the soft daylight.
"I thought.. I could... give you a little preview... for the evening..." Orm said as she tossed her t-shirt to the side, and then slowly turned...
