"I don't know why this is up for discussion," Orm said, packing up the sandwiches she made for Lingling's lunch into a box.
"Because, I'm fine" Lingling said putting on her sneakers
"Fine for what exactly?" Orm asked
"To go to work" Lingling said
"And do what? Your hand is hurting. You can't tattoo. And you especially should not be riding Korn."
"You're making a mountain of a molehill, Orm" Lingling said
"Good thing I have no clue what that idiom means." Orm said, "Now listen to me Teerak, stay at home. If you absolutely must go- let me drop you off to work, or take a cab..."
"ORM" Lingling said, slightly annoyed
Orm stood there at the kitchen counter, looking at Lingling with an unreadable expression
"I appreciate your concern baby, but trust me, I know my body. This..." she said raising her injured hand "is nothing"
"You shouldn't be riding a motorcycle when your hand is hurt, Lingling. if you're not worried for your own well-being at least think about the others you're putting in danger on the road" Orm said more pointedly.
"Look, Orm... I don't know what's going on... but we've been having fights since last night.. And it doesn't feel good at all..."
"Well, welcome to a relationship, Lingling, this is normal. It's not always about 'feeling good'" Orm said air quoting the last bit
Lingling scoffed "You love reminding me of that, don't you?" Lingling said
"What are you talking about?" Orm said.
"Just.. you like reminding me that you have more experience in relationships than I do"
"Lingling, I have never said that..." Orm said, amused by Lingling's remark
"But I'm sure you feel it"
"Where is this coming from?" Orm asked
"I don't wanna talk about it... it's fine... let's... let it go" Lingling said, already walking to the door now.
"Okay, then let's talk about THIS then..." Orm said
"What?" Lingling asked
"Your habit of not wanting to talk things out when it's a difficult conversation" Orm stated.
"What?!" Lingling exclaimed
"Yesterday, you said something in front of Toey, and then just completely dismissed the idea later" Orm said.
Lingling knew what Orm was talking about. But even now, she wasn't sure she knew what the right thing to say was. Truth is, the whole concept scared her.
"Orm..." Lingling said, sighing heavily, standing by the door.
"What if... what if it is?" Orm asked then, talking a few careful steps towards Lingling.
"Huh?" Lingling asked, confused at Orm's line of thought
"What if it is a deal breaker for me...? What if... I really want kids, Lingling..."
