You taught me love, but you didn’t stay to teach me how to unlove.
Chapter 22
Frightened, Taehyung let Jungkook drag him to the mansion. He couldn't speak; he was afraid that Jungkook would pull the gun if he fought back, just like how he did earlier.
“Jungkook, you're hurting me!” Taehyung told Jungkook while the grip on his wrist tightened.
“Shut up.” Jungkook responded in a low tone but enough to make Taehyung shiver.
“I'm just telling you, you're hurting me!” Taehyung muttered as he watched Jungkook forcefully drag him upstairs.
Jungkook then pushed him inside the room, and before he could even say something, he was pushed to the bed, and Jungkook crawled on top of him.
He leaned in, his fingers threading into Taehyung's hair with a possessive grip. Their lips crashed together, rough and unyielding, claiming, commanding. Taehyung, who was underneath him, whimpered, muffling broken gasps against his mouth. He couldn't escape the weight pressing him down, couldn't fight the hands holding him firmly in place.
The kiss trailed lower, teeth grazing his jawline, and then sank into the tender skin of his neck. He bit down, leaving marks that were possessive, undeniable. Taehyung shivered, his breaths coming out in strangled whimpers, eyes squeezed shut as his hands weakly grasped at the arms caging him.
But then, Jungkook stilled, his head resting in the crook of Taehyung's neck. His breathing ragged, each exhale trembling with something more than just desire. He closed his eyes, his lips hovering close but no longer kissing, no longer marking. Silent tears traced down his face, hidden by the shadow between them.
It wasn't pleasure that kept him there; it was the ache buried deeper than the bite, a sorrow he couldn't voice, pressed between them, as heavy as his own heart.
“Why...” Jungkook uttered. “why won't you come back to me” he said in a trembling tone.
Taehyung was crying, afraid of Jungkook.
“I just want you to come back, to stay here with me. That's all I want!” Jungkook then looked at Taehyung with tears falling from his eyes.
“Why are you doing this to me, Jungkook?” Taehyung sobbed. “how many times do I have to tell you that I don't want to be with you. I... I just want to live a normal life. I was fine but you broke me. I've tried to build myself piece by piece but Jungkook, you always shattered me. How can I live with a person like you?” he cried.
“But I love you, Taehyung, why can't you understand my feelings? I gave you everything that you want you need, but why isn't that enough for you?” Jungkook asked through his gritted teeth in frustration.
Taehyung looked at him with teary eyes, sitting up on the bed.
“Did I ever ask for you to give them to me? I am grateful, that's true. But Jungkook, you didn't love me. How could you cheat on me if you love me? I was happy when we got together because I was with the person I truly love. But Jungkook, I really can't handle you. Trust me, I tried, I tried to make myself believe that you love but no matter what I did, I was always the idiot. I was the only one fighting for our love, Jungkook. If you really love me as you claimed, do you really think I would've left you?” Taehyung was letting out everything.
He's been in too much suffering because of Jeon Jungkook, this is the only way he could tell him the truth.
“If you love me, you wouldn't do this. You see, Jungkook, we're just ruining each other lives, so please, let's stop this. This is not good for both of us. We might find someone, a person that was truly destined for us. But for now, you have to accept first that I'm not the one for you, and you're not the one for me. Let's end everything, Jungkook,”
Taehyung stood up from the bed and walked out of the room while Jungkook was crying for the first time ever in his life.
