Chapter 45
They later arrived in front of Taehyung's house. Jungkook got out of his car to open the trunk and get their belongings, and Taniya also got out of the car.
"Taehyung, come on, we're here now." Taniya told Taehyung, who was still inside the car with confusion written on his face but still went out of the car. "thank you for driving us; you can leave our belongings here; my husband will take care of them." she told Jungkook after unlocking the door of the house.
"Okay, I guess I'll get going now," Jungkook said as he was about to go to the other side where the door car of the driver's seat, Taehyung grasped his arm. "What's the matter?" he asked, looking at him.
"Why? Why are you leaving me?" Taehyung responded, anxiously looking at him.
"Taehyung, of course, he had to leave; he didn't stay here with us." Taniya replied to him instead.
"No!" Taehyung suddenly shouted which made them flinch.
They even caught the attention of their neighborhood. The noisy surroundings were making Taehyung irritated and he didn't like it.
"Why? You said you won't leave me!" Taehyung's eyes filled with tears. "then why are you leaving me here?! You just said you won't leave me! Are you just lying to me?!" tears fell from his eyes.
His hand that was holding Jungkook's arm was shaking. Jungkook cupped Taehyung's cheeks and wiped off his tears.
"It's not like that, Taehyung, but I had to. You lived with your sister, she's the one who will take care of you, not me. Don't worry, I'm sure she will give you everything you need." Jungkook attempted to comfort him.
"I don't want that!" Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's shirt. "I don't want that... please don't leave me here... I don't like this place." he was basically pleading.
The fear on his face was visible; it seemed like he was panicking and frightened to be left alone by Jungkook, even though it was his sister's idea to take care of him.
"But Taehyung─"
"I'm begging you, please don't leave me like that again. I... I don't wanna lose you, Jungkook. Please, don't leave me... I'm scared." Taehyung cried and tried to wipe his tears like a kid with the back of his hands which broke Jungkook's heart.
Jungkook hugged Taehyung, comforting him while Taehyung kept muttering 'Don't leave' and 'I'm scared' repeatedly with trembling lips. He looked at Taniya who was worried about Taehyung but understood Jungkook's stare.
"Fine, take him with you. But please make sure to take care of him, I don't want him to suffer any longer." she just accepted it, realizing that Taehyung would be more comfortable to be with Jungkook in his vulnerable state.
"You heard that, baby? You'll go with me now, okay? Don't cry anymore, hmm?" Jungkook wiped off Taehyung's tears.
Taehyung nodded his head, suppressing his tears but he was still sniffling.
"Get inside the car now, we'll go back to our home." Jungkook then opened the door beside the driver's seat.
Taehyung did not hesitate to go back inside the car and Jungkook looked at Taniya.
"Thank you," he told her with a smile.
"I had no choice. Make sure he'll be safe and get treatment as soon as possible." Taniya sighed.
"I will,"
Jungkook bowed his head before he went inside the car and started to drive away, leaving Taniya there.
