The worst kind of hurt is when you can’t explain why.Chapter 38
Jungkook drove his car, passing his speed limit. He could barely care about it for now. He had to go as fast as he could before he regretted everything. As he arrived at the address Taehyung had texted him, he got out of his car to go inside the building which was not that old but seemed just currently abandoned company. For some reason, Jungkook felt like he was in this place before but he really couldn't remember when.
He proceeded to walk inside; he was confused as to why Taehyung would be lost in this place in the first place. It's not like it's far from his house. He sighed and looked around the company. As he pulled up his phone, he texted Taehyung that he was already there. Just a second passed by, and Taehyung responded that he should go to the 8th floor, and there would be only one room on that floor, and he could simply go inside.
He followed what Taehyung told him, and since the company was abandoned, there was no electricity in the whole area, and that meant he had to use the stairs instead. He reached the 8th floor and it was kind of exhausting, to be honest. The moment he faced the door to open it, he was shot in his left knee causing him to forcefully kneel down.
The door was opened right away; Taehyung was there looking at him, shocked, and tears were forming in his eyes, but he couldn't speak because of the cloth in his mouth.
“I finally see you kneeling down in front of me, Jeon.”
That voice was familiar; he saw a familiar face who was pointing a gun at him, and he was sure it was him who had shot him.
“Don't tell me you have forgotten me already, no?” Jimin smirked.
“How come I could have forgotten you, Park Jimin.” Jungkook stood up, hissing in pain. “don't you think you should not use an innocent person to take your revenge?” he glared at Jimin.
“That's right, I should have not done that. But you see, you won't bite my bait no matter what so I had no choice but to use this person.” Jimin tugged Taehyung's hair whose screams were muffled. “Can't you believe this? It really worked, you're now here in front of me. This is amazing!” he grinned devilishly.
“If you have a problem with me, you should face me instead! He did nothing wrong to you, he's not even involved with me!” Jungkook shouted.
“Oh come on, Jungkook, don't act so naive. You wouldn't even be here if he didn't contact you at all.” Jimin chuckled. “no connection? Don't deny it, Jungkook, he's still the most precious person for you. Admit it.” he added.
“Let him go, if you want to kill me, just do it. Just let him go.” Jungkook's voice was almost pleading.
The moment Taehyung heard that, he felt his heart clenched. He looked at Jungkook, slowly shaking his head.
“That's it? That's the only thing you'll do?” Jimin sneered. “you should be on your knees, begging for me to let him go. You had to make it convincing, Jungkook. Or do you want me to help you kneel? I wouldn't mind shooting your other to help you.” he laughed like a maniac and then shot the ground where Jungkook's right leg was.
Taehyung was shouting, “Stop,” but it was unheard, and they couldn't even understand. This is too much, he couldn't handle this.
Jungkook knelt down with his head on the ground.
“Please, I'm begging you. Don't hurt him, he did nothing wrong. Don't involve him here, he already lived the worst of his life with me. So please, let him have a chance to have the peaceful and normal life he deserves. I'm begging you, just take your anger onto me.” he literally begged.
Taehyung didn't like it. This is not Jungkook. This is not the same person he knew. Why? Why would he go to such lengths to do this? Did he not notice his hint?
Taehyung couldn't help but cry. He hates this; he hates seeing Jungkook like this.
