Chapter 39

“How pathetic,” Jimin commented while watching Jungkook.

Jungkook looked at him after he heard that.

“You're willing to do everything for him? How pathetic of you, Jungkook!” Jimin shouted. “how come you're only like this when he's involved?! But when I tried to take you down, you didn't even bother at all! Is this how pathetic you are? If I just knew it, I should have done this a long time ago.”

Taehyung let out a muffled scream when Jimin stabbed his shoulder.

“Stop!” Jungkook ran, but Jimin shot him.

The bullet grazed his shoulder and he abruptly stopped.

“Don't fucking move!” without any hesitation, Jimin pulled the knife out of Taehyung's shoulder.

“Don't hurt him, please, I'm begging you, don't hurt him!” Jungkook yelled while watching Taehyung who was now panting heavily.

“Do you think just hurting him would be enough to satisfy me? No, Jungkook, that wouldn't be enough!” Jimin shouted through his gritted teeth.

“Just kill me, don't hurt him anymore. Just do it on me instead!” Jungkook kept pleading, hoping that Jimin would kill him instead.

“No, I had to torture him, it would be more fun in that way, Jungkook.” Jimin smirked.

“If you want everything you have to get back, I can do it. I'll give you everything you want, just let him go now!” Jungkook pleaded. “I'm the one you want to be gone, right? Do it now, you have a chance to do it. Don't use him!” he couldn't hide his frustration but he had to calm down.

“Are you afraid he'll die first in front of you? Don't worry, Jungkook, I'll make sure you'll die in front of him. But you have to bear it, Jungkook because who knows, he might follow you afterward.” Jimin snickered.

He pointed the gun at Jungkook; once his finger was about to press the trigger, someone had shot his hand that was holding the gun, and the gun flew around the office. Jimin was confused, he looked at the building in front of his company and realized there was a sniper inside.

Jungkook took it as a chance and ran toward Jimin, grabbing the other hand that was holding the knife and twisting his hand around. Jimin punched him in the face but Jungkook forcefully turned him around and kept hitting Jimin's hand to let go of the knife. Jimin finally forcefully let it go and Jungkook kicked his back, forcing him to the ground. And knocked him out right there. Jungkook was panting heavily and immediately removed the cloth in Taehyung's mouth and was now attempting to untie the rope around Taehyung's arms.

“Jungkook, listen to me, please, just leave me alone here. I... I can't walk anymore; just go on your own; you can still walk, right? Please, leave this place.” Taehyung told Jungkook in a rush tone.

But Jungkook was busy untying the rope.

“Please, I'm begging you, I'll be just a burden to you. Your leg was shot, it will be difficult for you to move around with me. Please, please, please, there were bombs planted around this building, we'll die together!” Taehyung shouted.

“Then, I'll be satisfied with that,” Jungkook then grabbed Taehyung by his arm, pulling him up. “just wait here.” he removed his jacket, covering it around his fist, and then started punching the glass wall where the snipe bullet went through.

“Are you even listening to me?! Jungkook!” Taehyung gritted his teeth.

Jungkook grabbed the chair and used it to smack the glass wall. Once it was big enough for a person to get through, get looked at Taehyung.

“Do you trust me?” Jungkook asked him.

“Huh?” Taehyung was confused.

“I know you're afraid of heights, so please just trust me this time.”

He grabbed Taehyung's arm and dragged him near the broken glass wall.

“What are you doing?” Taehyung was still confused but it was answered when Jungkook had pushed him.

Taehyung's eyes widened, not because of being pushed but fear, seeing the person behind Jungkook who was about to follow after him.

“Jungkook!” he screamed while extending his hand as if reaching for Jungkook.

Jimin was still conscious and immediately choked Jungkook from behind.
