Sometimes, holding on hurts more than letting go.

Chapter 31

Jungkook was swarmed by the media the moment he was out of his car. He was bombarded by a lot of questions. They were trying to get an answer from him, but his guards from the company and drivers were protecting him from them.

“Mr. Jeon, what can you say about the charges against you?”

“Can you tell us more about those videos surfacing on the social media platforms?”

“Why would you hurt Mr. Min? Was he not your stepbrother?”

Jungkook was now inside the elevator, dodging all of the questions toward him. As the elevator reached the floor of his office, he went out, and his secretary was there outside of his office.

“Mr. Jeon, the court has told us to temporarily close the company for investigation purposes,” his secretary informed him and gave him a brown envelope.

“Did they find nothing here?” Jungkook asked while taking out files inside of the brown envelope.

“Yes, but unfortunately, it was stated that it still needed to be done or else the company would be forcefully closed,” his secretary told him.

“Where's Namjoon?” Jungkook inquired.

“I had no idea, Mr. Jeon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes difficult for him to go here because of those media swarming around the company to get a scope of you,” his secretary stated.

“Inform the security to take care of them; if those media won't leave, threaten them that we will file a case against them. They were trespassing on private property and also making sure that Namjoon would safely come here.” Jungkook instructed his secretary.

“I understand, Mr. Jeon,” he bowed his head before leaving his office.

Jungkook ran his fingers through his hair, but the situation was getting out of hand. He couldn't just randomly stop his company from operating because it would affect not just the flow of money but also his employees.

“Look at what's happening to that bastard; I'm sure he's going insane,” Taniya commented while watching the news.

“I've heard he had to stop the operation of his company since the investigation was still occurring,” Seuk-oh responded, who was also watching the TV.

“Well deserved; they must investigate properly; after all, he had done a lot of evil things. See, he also used his influence to make everyone not accept us to get work. He must be punished rightfully,” Taniya retorted, shaking her head.

The door of their house opened, and Taehyung came inside.

“I'm home,” Taehyung sleepily said, liking the comfort of the jacket.

“Taehyung, look, the bastard was now under pressure; he will be behind bars very soon,” Taniya told him while pointing to the TV.

Taehyung watched the TV, and it was about Jungkook.

“As if he would be, I'm sure he has something to make sure he wouldn't get behind those bars,” Taehyung sighed and kept walking to get some cold water.

“I mean, that could be right, but that's not impossible to happen,” Taniya uttered.

“Whatever, as long as he would stop bothering us, that would be fine,” Taehyung muttered.

“By the way, where did you get that jacket? I don't think that's yours.” Taniya suddenly asked.

“Stole them,” Taehyung simply replied before going to his room, leaving them confused.

Well, he was still sleepy; that's why he was not that in his right mind at the moment.
