Chapter 35
It's been 3 days since the last time he met Jungkook. Well, not really; he could see Jungkook watching him every night he would go home. It was creepy, but it was much better than having a conversation with him. He believed it was just a waste of time, but he didn't mind whatever Jungkook was doing because it wasn't his time that was being wasted stalking someone.
“Taehyung, we'll go home now; our service has arrived. See you tomorrow,” Myrna, one of his colleagues, told him when they were out of the company.
“See you too,” he smiled as he watched them leave.
He sighed and looked at the time on his phone. It was 8:23, and he still somehow considered it early because he would usually go home at 10 pm. For some reason, their boss left early, and he's also been out of reach lately. He was worried, but he couldn't do anything about it because Yoongi would not even bother to talk to him.
Taehyung shook his head and simply started to walk away. As usual, he could feel someone tracking him down from behind. But for someone, he doesn't feel relief, as he hates to admit it, but if it's Jungkook, he feels like he is safe and peaceful. However, this person doesn't feel the same way. Maybe his instinct was wrong, but he felt like he was in danger or something.
He tried to walk faster but didn't make it obvious. He cursed under his breath because he chose to walk instead of using a bus just because he felt like doing it. He knew he should be ashamed of himself, but he wished Jungkook would show up out of nowhere like he used to be because he was freaking out silently. If this person kept tailing him, who knows what would happen next?
He believed Jungkook would be able to scare the person with his presence, so he couldn't help but also silently pray that he would see Jungkook. He was trying to do his best to escape by going in and out of different stalls and even going inside the mall, but no matter what happened, the person kept following him, which was very different from the way Jungkook followed him. He at least tried to trick Jungkook by doing the same thing, but Jungkook wouldn't even bother to follow him inside and would wait outside. But this man is persistent enough to follow him everywhere.
However, for some reason, the man had stopped following him when he was now calling in his phone, but no one had answered his calls. He cursed lowly before going out of the shop. And he felt relieved when he couldn't feel the man's presence behind him.
When he was about to reach another bus stop, a cloth suddenly covered his mouth and nose while pulling him somewhere else. He knew he could fight back, but for some reason, his body started to weaken and his eyesight started to blur. The cloth in his mouth and nose has a weird smell, but that shouldn't be enough for him to slowly lose consciousness.
The effect was way faster than he expected, and the last thing he saw was in a dark alley, and everything went black. Unfortunately for him, he was also injected with something in his neck.
