The event had just ended and I had found 4/10 of the boys. The Jacks, Cam and Nash. We were goofing around until the others decided to show up.
Jack J and I were in the middle of a chopsticks game when I received a text from Matt.

M: We need to talk. Come to the 15th floor when we get to the hotel.

I hadn't talked to him in a while, so I wasn't expecting a text from him. Much less any voluntary communication.

I quickly responded.

A: Where are you and the rest of the guys?
M: At the hotel, waiting for you guys. Where are you?
A: Still at the building. Why didn't you wait for us?
M: we thought you left without us

I groaned and stood up. "Come on guys. The rest of them are at the hotel." I was a little upset that they wouldn't care to contact us. Now we didn't really have a ride back.
Jack G looked confused. "Why didn't they tell us?" He questioned. He was known to not have the best patience.

"I don't know, but we should just focus on getting back to the hotel." I knew they were tired and wanted sleep. All I wanted was to get my friends to bed.
Um, ew. Not like that.

"Look, I'll call Taylor or someone to come get us." I sighed and picked up my phone. I clicked on Taylor's contact.
It rung a couple time before he picked up. "Yo." His familiar voice rang through my ears.
"Taylor, hey. It's Alli. The Jacks, Nash, Cam and I are stuck at the building. Do you think you can come get us?" I asked him, looking outside. It was getting dark.

"Yeah, sure. But why didn't you guys come back with us?" He asked, obviously confused.
"You guys left without us!" I nearly screamed.
"But Matt told us-" he started.
"Just come get us." I cut him off and hung up. Of course Matt was the one to leave us here. He must be mad at me for something, probably something to do with Shawn and I.

I led the 5 of us out to the parking lot near the front entrance. Taylor arrived a few minutes later, fuming. We all hopped into his Jeep that he'd rented for the event. "Why would Matt do that to you?" He said, gripping the steering wheel. I sat in the passenger seat and the Jacks and Cash sat in the back.
"I don't know. He's been off lately and I don't know why." I did know why, he was mad at me because I had kissed him and then went running to Shawn.

Taylor eyed me suspiciously, but didn't say anything. "Douchebag." He muttered under his breath. We drove back to the hotel in silence, dead silence. We were all too tired to fight.

I was on autopilot the whole way back to my room. Until I froze and realized that I had to meet Matt on the 15th floor, the roof. I silently cursed and walked back into the elevator. I pressed the button with the glowing 15 on it.
I held my black jacket in my arms and waited for the ding that signaled my arrival. I got too caught up in my thoughts that I almost didn't notice the doors opening.

I swallowed and walked towards the dark silhouette that looked like Matthew Lee Espinosa. I had been such a huge fan until I knew the real him.
"Hey." I said into the night darkness. He turned around and I took in his features. He had dark rings under his eyes and chapped lips. His eyes looked sad and tired, like an old man's.

"I need to tell you something." He said, sitting down in one of the chairs. I followed his actions and braced myself. "First of all, I'm sorry for running off like that the other night." He sighed and looked at me. "Second of all, when I first met you, I felt a connection. I knew that I couldn't ignore it, so I tried being friends first." He stared at his hands the whole time.
"I decided to become friends with you. And then get you to like me." He finally looked my in the eye. "What I'm trying to say is, will you be my girlfriend?" He said and honestly, I was shocked as hell. I didn't see this coming and I wasn't expecting this much at 11 at night on a roof in New Jersey.

My eyes widened and I could tel that he was nervous. "Matt," I stuttered. "I can't." I told him and his face fell, like his dog just died. It killed me to see him like that, opposed to his usual happy self. "It won't feel right." I tried to explain.

His face hardened. "This is about Shawn, isn't it." He said, quiet and angry. He was holding himself back, I could tell.
"I just don't feel that way about you Matt." I said with pleading eyes. If he pried to far, I knew I would say something I would regret.

"You like Shawn and you just don't have the guts to tell him." He stood up and jammed his finger in my face. "Then why did you kiss back, huh? Why would you lead me on?" he spread his hands out and shrugged, his eyes glassy and sad.
"Because I wasn't sure!" I nearly screamed. "If you hadn't made it so goddamn hard to chose then maybe I would've considered us. Whatever we had." I was near tears and on my feet as well. "But you had to go and ruin everything, Matt. You made this complicated when it could've been easy and we could've been friends!" I exclaimed. I shook my head slowly back and forth. "If this is the real you, then I don't want to even be with you." I walked away, not even looking back once.

A/N: about as dramatic as a season finale of Teen Wolf. Okay! A lot happened. I think Crystal Reed can play Allison. I like it. That's the pic of her on top. Okay byeeee🔮
