Chapter 12: Gossip

"Oh my gosh," Liv said before letting out a loud laugh. They were all sitting around a table in the dining area enjoying breakfast together. "Look at this guys."

Liv turned her phone to the group to show the boys the fan recorded video of Rhea and Jey's heated exchange in the airport. Dominik kept his attention on his food, having no interest in whatever gossip or unfunny video Liv was trying to show everyone.

"Is that Rhea?" Carlito asked, leaning forward to get a better look.

Dominik instantly joined the conversation and grabbed the phone from Liv's outstretched hand. "Let me see that."

He studied the video intently as the guys huddled over his shoulders to see for themselves. Dominik fought off the scowl that dared to cross his face as he watched the way Jey stared at Rhea with clear disdain. He couldn't make out what they were saying to each other but he could hear Jey raising his voice at her which made his stomach warm with rage.

He had to pass the phone back the second he saw Jey push Rhea's hand away like she meant nothing. If he didn't want to beat Jey before he really wanted to now.

Dominik knew Rhea better than anyone else and he knew for a fact that the video circulating was out of Rhea's control, and Rhea did not do well with things that were beyond her control.

"Trouble in paradise already it seems," JD chuckled.

"Pfft. Are we surprised? It's Rhea." Liv pointed out with a laugh. "Couldn't keep a man happy before, still can't keep a man happy now." She smirked as she grabbed Dominik's chin in her hand, squeezing his cheeks like he was a child.

"What do you think they were arguing about?" Carlito inquired, rubbing his hands together with excitement in his eyes.

"He's probably sick of her trying to tell him what to do already. She's so damn bossy." JD frowned with a shake of his head.

"Well looks like Rhea finally found somebody to put her in her place." Finn agreed. "No offense Dom, but she walked all over you."

Dominik's eyebrows furrowed. "Rhea didn't walk all over me."

"You're right, she ran." Finn smirked.

"Stomped." JD agreed.

"Bulldozed if we're being honest." Carlito continued, making the table erupt in laughter besides Dominik and Liv who sat with her arms crossed and an unamused look on her face.

"I'm glad you all find Daddy Dom's abusive relationship as a laughing matter, some friends you are." Liv frowned. "This is why men suffer in silence now."

Dominik had to stop his eyes from rolling. He wasn't sure where this whole narrative that Rhea abused him came from, but he was tired of hearing it. Still, he remained actually suffering in silence to avoid himself from getting defensive, because at the moment he didn't have anything nice to say about anyone that wasn't Rhea.

"Ah we're just joking," JD brushed off. "Dom knows we're all happy for him for freeing himself from Rhea before he became a brainwashed errand boy for his Mamiiiiii." He continued in a mocking tone, obnoxiously chewing his food with his mouth open. The disgusting habit made Dominik scowl, ever so slightly, he couldn't stand poor table manners.

Carlito and Finn started snickering which just made Dominik even more upset as he finished his last bite of food.

Liv noticed the slight irritation on his face.

"Guys cut it out before-"

"I'm out of here." Dominik announced, gathering his trash and standing to his feet before walking away from the table.
