Liv was bouncing on her heels in anticipation as she stood alongside Dominik and Raquel in gorilla watching Finn and JD's main event title defense against the War Raiders on one of the monitors.
Everything was going as she planned; Carlito already unsuccessfully tried to help take out Ivar and was ejected from ringside and she could tell by the way Finn's eyes kept flicking towards the ramp that he was waiting for them to come out and save the match.
They were gonna come out alright, but thanks to Liv's devious plannings, Finn and JD were about to in for a rude awakening.
She couldn't help but feel proud of herself; Liv was finally about to show everyone just exactly what kind of champion she could be, the one who called the shots, the one who decided who was disposable or not, the one who wasn't afraid to let go of people when they were no longer of service to her, the one who wasn't afraid to get what she wanted by any means.
It was time to show Finn who she really was.
Finn had just rolled out of the ring in frustration. No matter what they tried they just couldn't put the War Raiders down. He made his way to the timekeeper's area, making Liv's eyes widen in excitement. It was time.
"Alright come on—"
Dominik was cut off as he watched Finn suddenly struggle to grab the chair he was about to use to try and force a DQ. There was resistance that left him stuck in place as he tried to pull the chair. The camera panned over to reveal a tall hooded figure holding a tight grip on the chair, keeping Finn trapped.
The person removed their hood and the crowd went wild at the sight of Damian Priest standing before Finn, staring him down before completely yanking the chair forward with all his might, sending Finn into the barricade that separated them.
"Oh what the hell!?" Liv exclaimed.
Back in the ring JD was getting absolutely obliterated. Ivar had just got tagged in and hit his finisher and in the blink of an eye it was over, Finn and JD had lost their titles and it was all thanks to Damian Priest who was now leaning against the announcers table with a smug grin on his face watching the War Raiders celebrate.
Liv was absolutely fuming. This was her moment, her plan, and now it was ruined.
Raquel let out a soft sigh behind her, she was relieved. She still felt like Liv was jumping the gun with trying to separate themselves from the few allies they had. Now she had more time to convince her to wait it out, at least for a little bit. Maybe this was a sign. Maybe they weren't meant to break up the judgment day just yet. Maybe now she could finally get through to Liv.
And Dominik? Dominik just stood there fighting off his smirk as usual. Everything had gone exactly like he had planned it to.
Damian held up his end of the bargain and executed Dominik's plan perfectly.
Dominik allowed Liv to regain her confidence with her scheming, but in the end it was always going to go the way he wanted.
So he listened to her ideas, helped her come up with her plans, and even gave her reassurance where she needed all while crafting his own demise of the judgment day with a little assist from Damian who jumped at the chance to get any form of revenge on Finn.
Liv was still standing frozen in place, her fists clenched tightly at her sides as she glared at the screen. The moment was supposed to be hers. Hers! She had spent days planning this, manipulating every detail, preparing to make a statement, and now Damian fucking Priest and his obsession with Finn had just swooped in and stolen her shine.
