Beacon Academy Hallway
Katsuro and the rest of Team KUKR headed down the hallway toward their next class. It had been a week since they'd arrived at Beacon, and each day felt both thrilling and exhausting as they settled into academy life. Rhea trailed behind, half-asleep, her eyelids drooping as she trudged forward.
"Ugh," she muttered through a yawn, "What's our next class?"
Kelsey glanced at her notes, her expression as focused as always. "Hana Uchiha's class. Combat practice."
Rhea's face instantly lit up, any trace of drowsiness vanishing. "Finally! Something actually worth waking up for!"
Katsuro raised an eyebrow but couldn't help a faint smirk. "Try not to get too excited. Miss Hana's not exactly known for going easy on us."
Rhea just grinned, stretching her arms above her head. "Bring it on! After all these boring lectures, I'm dying for some action."
Gym Arena
The gym arena was massive, with sleek metal walls that curved up to high ceilings, providing ample room for both movement and the powerful displays of aura-based abilities. As first-years entered and settled into the audience seating along the arena's edge, an anticipatory buzz filled the air. Students glanced around, eager and a bit anxious for what lay ahead.
Standing at the center of the arena, Miss Hana waited, her tall, poised figure unmistakable. She wore a combat instructor's uniform, equipped with light armor, and her gaze was sharp and assessing, even from a distance. She tapped her microphone, amplifying the sound as she began to speak.
"Good morning, first-years," she greeted, her voice clear and commanding. "Welcome to Combat Practice. From today onward, this will be your daily sparring class." She paused, scanning the room, ensuring she had everyone's full attention. "This subject isn't just about honing your combat skills. It's about conditioning your instincts, sharpening your reflexes, and making you warriors who won't falter when it matters most."
A murmur rippled through the students, a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Unity leaned forward, looking focused. Even Kelsey seemed intrigued, her usual stoic demeanor showing a hint of anticipation.
Miss Hana's gaze swept over them, her expression unyielding. "You will be pushed beyond your limits, not only to discover your weaknesses but to learn how to overcome them. Each day, you'll train to ensure you are battle-ready and more than capable of handling whatever the world throws at you."
Rhea couldn't contain her grin, nudging Kelsey. "Now this is the kind of class I signed up for," she whispered, practically vibrating with excitement.
Miss Hana continued, "You'll be paired with different opponents, switching partners often. This is to expose you to a variety of fighting styles. And, as the weeks progress, the exercises will become harder. You're here to evolve, not to stay the same."
Katsuro remained focused, arms crossed, absorbing her words with quiet intensity. He knew that the more they trained, the more they'd come to understand their strengths and weaknesses. This wasn't just practice; it was preparation for the real world beyond Beacon.
Miss Hana's gaze lingered on the first-years before she smiled-a sharp, almost predatory expression. "Let's not waste any more time. Katsuro Rose from Team KUKR and Nathan Knight from Team SHRN-step forward."
Rhea's grin grew even wider. She shot Katsuro a confident look. "Ready to show 'em how it's done, fearless leader?"
Katsuro smirked in return and his attention back to Hana.
