-Beep
The beep of Ruby's call with Sasuke echoed.
Across the city, huntsmen, huntresses, soldiers, and even former bandits gathered, weapons in hand, faces hardened with grim resolve. Each of them stood ready, determined to protect their home from whatever terror was descending upon them.
Their weapons—now fortified with Rashiki's DNA—glimmered with newfound power.
The upgrades made them tougher, able to endure the Otsutsuki's fearsome strength, and, most importantly, capable of draining chakra from their alien adversaries upon contact.
For once, it felt as though they had a chance to fight back against these gods.
Far above, the Otsutsuki hovered, his expression a mix of contempt and faint amusement.
To him, they were less than ants, and yet, something intrigued him.
His lips curled into a sneer as he spoke, voice as cold as steel. "So... you managed to kill Rashiki? Fascinating..."
He stilled, his eyes narrowing. A distant energy faded out, and a flicker of shock briefly crossed his face as he muttered, "Antollie's dead..." But just as quickly, the surprise melted away into a faint scoff. The loss of his partner seemed little more than an inconvenience.
The Otsutsuki began a slow descent, his gaze locked on Mistral below. But just as he neared the ground, his feet hit a massive, translucent barrier.
It shimmered as he touched down, but with a single stomp, he shattered it into nothing, scattering shards of light like broken glass.
Yang, watching from the front lines, clenched her fists. "He took out the barrier with a single stomp? Are you kidding me?!"
Ruby's voice crackled over the comms, steady but urgent. "Prepare yourselves, Huntsmen."
The Otsutsuki landed gracefully on Mistral soil, facing the lines of soldiers and Huntsmen who braced themselves before him. He remained still, simply observing the ranks of defenders without a hint of alarm or aggression.
They hesitated, recalling Sasuke's warnings: these aliens were as powerful, if not more, than he was. If they charged recklessly, it could mean the end for them all.
Ruby stepped forward, scaling the tallest structure near the Otsutsuki, her megaphone in hand. She steadied her voice, willing herself to show no fear as she addressed the intruder. "Why are you here, alien?" Her voice cut through the air, gaining his attention.
The Otsutsuki turned his gaze to Ruby, studying her with mild interest. He held himself with a composed, almost regal manner, and despite his elegance, there was something undeniably menacing in his stillness.
"Are you here to invade this planet too?" Ruby's voice carried a note of defiance, her eyes locked onto him.
The Otsutsuki gave a faint, condescending smile. "Well, I'm surprised that this world harbors anything resembling intelligence," he mused, his tone mild but dripping with disdain. His gaze lingered on Ruby, seemingly amused by her boldness.
She tightened her grip on the megaphone, her tone growing sharper. "I'm asking you again—WHY ARE YOU HERE?"
The Otsutsuki's smirk widened as he slowly rose into the air, hovering above the soldiers and Huntsmen who watched him warily, every muscle tensed.
"Before I begin, allow me to introduce myself," he said, his tone smooth and controlled, each word meticulously chosen. "My name is Hanzo Otsutsuki. My purpose here?" He raised an eyebrow, sounding almost amused by the question, and leaned forward slightly. "Simply to observe."
