Mistral
A Week had already passed.
The capital of Mistral buzzed with activity, the air thick with the sounds of construction, preparation, and anticipation.
Every inch of the city was covered in newly fortified barriers, bristling with advanced weaponry and armored defenses.
Sasuke, standing amidst the bustling camp of scientists, engineers, and Huntsmen, surveyed the scene with a calculating eye. His presence was instrumental in coordinating the collaboration between Mistral's Forces, Vacuo's Huntsmen, Atlas scientists, and Vale's researchers, all working to make Mistral a fortress against the coming threat.
Marron, standing a few paces away, was busy overseeing the distribution of resources to further strengthen the barriers.
He nodded approvingly at the sight of the Huntsmen receiving the upgraded weapons and armor that had been hastily crafted to absorb and channel the unique chakra energies of the Alien.
Sasuke had taught the scientists the fundamentals of chakra, and now they could wield it as a new advantage in the war.
Through a specialized infusion process, they had engineered weapons that, when striking an Otsutsuki, could drain their chakra and store it to amplify the weapon's effectiveness.
Inside the weapons tent, Ruby eagerly reclaimed her upgraded Crescent Rose. "Crescent Rose~! Come to Mama!" she cooed, admiring her scythe. The weapon gleamed with a fresh, streamlined look, imbued with Atlas technology that made it both lighter and deadlier. She grinned, feeling the slight hum of chakra now coursing through the weapon's design.
Outside, Yang tested her own weapon. She fired her newly modified Ember Celica, grinning as the shotgun projectiles exploded with greater force and speed. Each punch felt lighter yet packed twice the punch it had before, courtesy of the scientists' enhancements.
"Ooo, they really cooked with this one," she said, glancing down at her gauntlets with approval.
"Yeah! Mine's a bit lighter too!" Ruby added, slicing through the air with Crescent Rose, feeling how the modifications streamlined her movements. "With these upgrades, we'll be able to actually hurt those Alien!"
Sasuke, meanwhile, stood at the center of the strategy tent, a map of Mistral spread out before him.
Red markers indicated the areas most vulnerable to attack, while green showed where defenses had been fortified.
His mind was racing through scenarios, calculating every possible angle the Otsutsuki could take. He was determined to stop them from ever reaching the heart of Mistral.
As he studied the map, Ruby and Yang approached him, both still in awe of the new power coursing through their weapons.
"Any ideas where they'll land, Sasuke?" Yang asked, leaning over the map.
Sasuke tapped his finger on several points of interest—remote cliffs, dense forests, and secluded mountain paths surrounding Mistral. "There are a few places they might choose," he said. "The Otsutsuki always prefer landing in isolated areas where they can establish a foothold without interference. These spots here, here, and here," he pointed to specific locations, "are prime for concealment and would make it easier for them to remain unnoticed while they prepare."
Ruby peered over his shoulder, her brows furrowed in concentration. "So... we're basically spreading out our forces to cover all those areas?"
"Exactly," Sasuke confirmed. "If they sense us gathering at one location, they'll choose another. We have to spread out but keep communication tight. We'll need every Huntsman and Huntress on standby, and with these upgraded weapons, we might be able to turn their own strength against them."
