Kitchen, Evening
The trio had finished arranging the spread of delicious food for the dance party. Katsuro, Nathan, and Kesley took a step back to admire the tables, now lined with beautifully prepared dishes, pastries, and drinks. Everything looked inviting and ready for the big event.
Sarada beamed as she looked over the hall. "Phew! Everything looks magnificent!" She couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for how well it had all come together.
Rhea, standing beside her, nodded in agreement. "We did quite a piece of work here!" She gave Sarada a cheerful grin, sharing in the excitement.
As the room began to empty, only Katsuro, Sarada, and Kesley remained behind. Kesley glanced over at her team leader, tilting her head curiously.
"You're not going to change?" she asked Katsuro, raising an eyebrow. Before he could answer, Sarada was already beside her, grinning mischievously.
"Oh, we don't need to!" Sarada replied, her tone playful.
Kesley gave them a puzzled look. "Wait, so... you're not planning to participate in the dance?"
"No! Not like that, silly!" Sarada waved her hand dismissively, still smiling. Then, with a quick handsign, a puff of smoke enveloped her, and when it cleared, she was dressed in a stunning short-skirted dress that shimmered slightly under the lights.
Kesley's eyes went wide, her expression somewhere between awe and confusion. "Was that... your Semblance?"
"Not even close!" Sarada laughed. "It's just a neat little technique. Even Katsuro can do it, right?"
Katsuro nodded and, with a simple handsign, another puff of smoke surrounded him. When it faded, he stood there in a perfectly tailored black suit that fit him effortlessly. Kesley's gaze lingered, clearly taken aback by how sharp he looked in the suit, which brought out a quiet confidence in his demeanor.
Kesley's black eyes narrowed in skepticism, her expression calm but filled with curiosity as she crossed her arms. "Wait... You're telling me that wasn't your Semblance?" Her tone carried a measured disbelief, the same kind of wary detachment she usually reserved for things that didn't quite add up.
Sarada chuckled, crossing her arms playfully. "Nope, not at all. Just a little something our dad taught us," she replied with a wink.
Kesley tilted her head slightly, her gaze flickering between them, clearly intrigued but unwilling to fully let her guard down. "Right... because people with the ability to swap outfits in a puff of smoke aren't suspicious at all." She raised an eyebrow, a glint of dry amusement in her eyes.
Katsuro shrugged casually, his expression calm and unfazed. "It's just a technique. Comes in handy for moments like this," he said.
Her lips curved into a faint smile as she leaned back against the wall, crossing her arms again in a relaxed but questioning manner. "Huh. And here I was thinking I'd seen it all." She glanced at Sarada, still slightly skeptical. "So, you're saying you just... learn this like any other skill?"
Sarada nodded. "Pretty much," she said, her grin widening. "Wouldn't be the only surprising thing about our family."
Kesley's gaze lingered, her expression thoughtful but slightly guarded. "Guess there's more to you two than meets the eye," she replied quietly. Her lips quirked into a subtle smile, but there was a flicker of genuine interest in her gaze as she looked at Katsuro in his sleek black suit.
Noticing Kesley's intrigue, Katsuro nodded slightly, a small smile crossing his face. "If you're ever curious, we could show you sometime."
"Right, maybe next time.. fearless leader." Kesley winked teasingly, still as composed as ever. She went to the front door and went to Team KUKR's dorm
