Third person povJisung jolted awake, heart pounding, terror etched across his face.
Minho stirred beside him, groggy and confused as he rubbed his eyes. "What’s wrong, Sung?" he asked, concern creeping into his sleepy voice as he sat up.
Jisung’s hands shook as he gripped his hair, his breathing unsteady. "M-my dad… he’s going to kill me. I didn’t come home last night..." His voice cracked, tears slipping down his cheeks, betraying the fear he’d tried to keep hidden.
Minho’s heart clenched at the sight. He reached out, wrapping his arms around Jisung and pulling him close, one hand gently running through his hair. "Hey, it’s okay," he whispered, trying to soothe him. "You’re safe here. I won’t let anything happen to you."
Jisung buried his face in Minho’s shoulder, his quiet sobs muffled as he clung tightly to him, his fear slowly easing with each comforting word and touch. Minho held him close, determined to be his shield, to give him the strength he needed.
After a moment, Minho whispered, “Calm down, Jisung. He’s out of town.”
Jisung looked up, eyes red and watery, still trembling. “But… how do you know?” he asked, his voice shaky, broken by little hiccups.
Minho offered a reassuring smile, his hand moving to caress Jisung’s cheek. “We’ve been keeping an eye on him. He left Seoul yesterday evening. We’re not sure why, but he’s not here.”
Relief flooded through Jisung’s tense body, and he let out a shaky breath. “Then… okay,” he whispered, the tension easing from his face. But before he could say more, his stomach growled, breaking the moment.
Minho chuckled softly, reaching over to ruffle Jisung’s hair. “Sounds like you need breakfast.” He rose from the bed, stretching. “I’ll make us some coffee. Go ahead and use the restroom. There’s a new toothbrush in the cabinet,” he added with a gentle smile before heading to the kitchen.
Once Jisung finished his morning routine, he made his way to the kitchen, where he found Minho with Felix and Hyunjin, cups of coffee in their hands as they chatted quietly.
As soon as Minho noticed him, he smiled and held out a steaming mug. “Here you go, Jisung. I’m going to brush my teeth real quick,” he said, handing him the coffee before heading toward the restroom.
Jisung nodded, gratefully accepting the cup and taking a small sip, letting the warmth settle him.
Just then, Hyunjin’s phone buzzed, and he glanced down at the screen with a slight frown. “Sorry, I’ve got to take this call,” he murmured, excusing himself as he stepped outside to answer.
Felix turned to Jisung with a warm smile. “Did you sleep well?”
Jisung nodded, taking another sip of his coffee. “Yeah, I slept deeper and more peacefully than I have in a long time.”
Felix’s smile twisted into a smirk. “Oh? So… it was a long night, huh?”
Jisung blinked, confused. “Long night? What do you mean, Felix?”
Felix raised an eyebrow, trying to hold back a laugh. “Playing innocent now, are we? If you didn’t want us to notice what happened with Minho, you might want to cover those hickeys next time.”
Jisung’s eyes widened as he instinctively brought his hands up to his neck, feeling the warm flush creep up his cheeks. “We didn’t do anything!” he stammered, his voice flustered as he hurriedly set his coffee on the counter.
Felix chuckled as Jisung, still red-faced, turned and rushed back to Minho’s room, hoping to avoid any more teasing.
Once inside, Jisung stopped short, his breath catching at the sight of Minho, who stood shirtless, casually combing his damp hair.
“S-Sorry, I didn’t mean to barge in—”
“It’s fine, come on in,” Minho replied, glancing over with a warm smile as he ran his fingers through his hair.
Jisung closed the door and settled on the edge of the bed. “Did you just take a shower?” he asked, trying to steady his voice.
Minho nodded, reaching for his shirt. “Yeah. Did you finish your coffee? And… why are you covering your neck?” he asked, noticing Jisung’s nervous hands.
Jisung’s heart pounded as Minho approached, the sight of his toned abs making it hard to focus. Sure, he had some abs himself, but they weren’t as defined as Minho’s. He swallowed, trying to keep his gaze steady.
“I… uh…” Jisung stammered, his face heating up as Minho came closer, the alpha’s presence so effortlessly captivating that it left him feeling shy and exposed.
“Like what you see, huh?” Minho teased, settling next to him with a smirk.
Jisung’s cheeks flushed deeper, but he reluctantly moved his hands from his neck, revealing the faint purple marks that trailed across his skin.
Minho’s breath caught as he took in the sight, a wave of pride flickering in his gaze. He hadn’t even noticed the marks earlier. They were… a work of art, his own handiwork, scattered across Jisung’s skin.
“Felix… he thinks we did something last night,” Jisung mumbled, his face turning redder by the second.
Minho raised an eyebrow, unable to resist a small laugh. “That’s all? Here I thought you were sick or something,” he said, still unable to tear his eyes away from the marks.
“Stop staring, Minho!” Jisung protested, a mix of embarrassment and amusement in his voice.
Minho chuckled, raising an eyebrow. “Didn’t you just stare at my abs like you wanted to eat them up a moment ago?”
“That’s… hey, don’t change the subject!” Jisung stammered, his blush intensifying. “I need some makeup to cover these. Do you have any concealer?”
“My shade wouldn’t match,” Minho said, standing up with a smirk. “I’ll grab some from Felix.”
“Be quick, we’ve got to leave for school soon!” Jisung called, watching him go with a mix of embarrassment and fondness.
