Third person pov
Jisung leaned heavily against the grimy bathroom wall, his chest rising and falling as silent tears streamed down his face. The dull ache in his heart twisted with every shaky breath he took.
“It’s not a rule that you have to love your mate… right?” The thought pounded relentlessly in his mind, over and over again, like a mantra he couldn’t escape.
The sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the bathroom, and Jisung tensed. He knew who it was before Minho’s voice reached him.
“Jisungie?” Minho’s voice was soft, almost hesitant, as he stood outside the locked stall door. “Open the door.”
Jisung clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms. He stayed quiet, his head hanging low as his tears continued to fall.
“Sungie, please,” Minho’s tone grew more desperate. “I think you misunderstood something… If you open the door, we can talk about it. We can fix this.”
For a moment, silence hung between them. Then, with a trembling hand, Jisung unlatched the door and slowly pushed it open.
Minho’s eyes softened when he saw the omega standing before him, head bowed and shoulders slumped. His heart ached at the sight.
“Look at me, Sung,” Minho murmured gently.
Jisung hesitated before lifting his tear-streaked face to meet Minho’s gaze. The alpha’s eyes were filled with a mix of tenderness and pain, and it was enough to make Jisung’s lips quiver with another sob.
“What happened, Jisung?” Minho asked gently, his voice laced with concern.
Jisung opened his mouth to respond, but the sudden noise of people barging into the bathroom made him flinch, cutting off whatever he was about to say.
Minho glanced around, his jaw tightening. “I don’t think this is the right place to talk about this.” His tone was firm yet soft as he turned his attention back to Jisung. “Can we go somewhere else?”
Without waiting for a verbal reply, Minho reached for Jisung’s wrist, his grip firm but not forceful.
Jisung nodded weakly, lowering his head as a fresh wave of shame washed over him.
Minho exhaled a quiet, worried sigh before leading the younger out of the bathroom and toward the car, his hand never letting go of Jisung’s wrist.
Once they settled into the car, Minho drove to a quiet road, away from the bustling city. The soft glow of streetlights illuminated the night, casting a serene calm over the empty surroundings.
After parking, Minho quickly got out and moved to Jisung’s side. The younger followed hesitantly, stepping out and standing awkwardly by the car.
Minho faced him, his expression filled with determination and concern. “Now, tell me, Jisung,” he began, his voice trembling slightly, “why did you ask that question and run away?”
“Hyung…” Jisung’s voice was barely above a whisper, his head still bowed, his hands gripping the hem of his shirt nervously.
“Am I not enough for you to feel loved?” Minho’s voice broke as tears welled up in his eyes. “Please, Jisung, tell me… I’ll do anything—everything—you need.”
Jisung’s shoulders shook as he sobbed, the guilt of making his alpha cry weighing heavily on him. “I-I’m sorry, hyung,” he choked out, his voice thick with emotion.
“No, Jisung,” Minho said firmly, his tears streaming unchecked down his face. “I need to know why. Why did you ask that question?”
Minho reached out, gently wiping away Jisung’s tears before brushing at his own.
“B-because you never confessed… or… we never confessed to each other,” Jisung stammered between sobs, his omega hormones amplifying his emotions.
Minho blinked, a mixture of disbelief and relief flooding his features. “That’s it?” he asked softly, a gentle chuckle escaping him despite the heaviness of the moment.
Jisung nodded, sniffling, his tear-streaked face still filled with uncertainty.
Minho exhaled deeply, stepping closer. He tilted Jisung’s chin up with a tender hand, ensuring the omega’s glistening eyes met his.
“My dear Jisungie,” Minho began, his voice warm and steady, “I love you. There’s nothing in this world more important to me than you, my omega. I love you more than words can ever express. I’ll love you again and again, every single day.”
Jisung’s teary eyes widened, a spark of hope and joy lighting up his expression.
“I love you so much, hyung,” Jisung whispered, his voice breaking as he threw his arms around Minho, holding him tightly.
Minho wrapped his arms protectively around the younger, his heart swelling with affection. “I’ve always loved you, Sungie. Always.”
“It’s getting late... where do you want to go? Your house or my apartment?” Minho asked softly, pulling back from the hug just enough to meet Jisung’s eyes.
“My house,” Jisung replied, his lips curving into a bright smile. “I have to write something.”
As the car rolled to a stop outside Jisung’s house, Minho turned to the younger with a gentle look. “Take care, Sung. If you need anything, just call me, okay?”
“Okay, hyung,” Jisung said with a cheerful nod. He waved as Minho drove off, the alpha’s car disappearing into the night.
Jisung didn’t waste a second. He rushed to his room, his heart still fluttering from the earlier confession. Throwing his bag aside, he grabbed his notebook and a pen from the desk.
Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he began to scribble down lyrics, the emotions swirling in his chest spilling onto the page in a flurry of raw, heartfelt words. Every line carried the weight of the night—the pain, the love, and the promise of something deeper.
"Cause all i want is wipe your tears, until they dry completely.
I wanna make you the happiest one, no fear. So, baby hold my hand now".
