Jisung quietly observed his surroundings. It was a small clinic with no other patients in sight. He tried to get up from the bed, but he couldn’t. Lifting his hoodie, he saw thick cotton wrapped around his hip, with more around his thigh, leg, and knees.

“Why the hell can’t I feel any pain? Did I get a nerve disorder?” Jisung cursed.

“You’re just under some painkillers, bro,” a young man's voice rose from the next bed, which was blocked by a screen.

“Thank God! There are some people here?” Jisung sighed in relief. “Can you please remove the screen?” he asked.

“I’m freaking wounded, bro. Can’t even lift my arms,” the guy replied. Somehow, Jisung found the voice very familiar.

“Hey yo! Any nurse here? Come here, please!” Jisung shouted, making the other boy flinch.

“Man, I got a mini heart attack. Why the hell did you shout suddenly?” the hidden guy complained.

“Hey, do you feel any pain?” A taller man asked, wearing a white lab coat.

“Yes! The pain of loneliness. Mind talking with me for a moment?” Jisung mocked.

“Unfortunately, I can’t. I have some work,” the doctor replied.

“Then just tell me—who the hell admitted me to the hospital?” Jisung demanded.

“Damn, you're a spoilt brat, huh?” The taller guy chuckled, then leaned down beside Jisung’s ear. “If you want to kill yourself, you gotta check if there's any village under the valley, little boy,” he smirked and walked away to attend the next patient.

“Tall bitch,” Jisung muttered. “Is there any television here…” he said to himself while scanning the clinic.

Soon, the curtain between Jisung and the other guy was pulled back by Hyunjin.

“You guys can talk. At least don’t feel bored,” the doctor said. “And hey, brat, what’s your name?” he asked Jisung.

Jisung snickered. “Han Jisung,” he said, turning his head to look at the guy.

Jisung froze.

So did the other guy.

“Min—” Jisung tried to say something, but he couldn’t. The same went for the guy, who also struggled to speak.

“I’m leaving. You guys have your time,” the taller doctor said and walked off.

“Hey—I’m… Jisung, you?” Jisung stuttered.

“Minho… I think I saw you before,” the guy replied.

“Yes… me too… in the rain… the moon guy,” Jisung muttered.

“Moon guy?”

“N-nothing. I remember you. We met before, a few days ago, I think,” Jisung said with a small smile.

Minho felt his heart melt at the small curl of the other's lips. All he remembered was Jisung, drenched in the rain, eyes swollen. That’s all he could recall—yet somehow, the other felt closer than his memory could explain.
