_POV: THE VISION_
The man stumbled backward, his eyes fixed on Imara's unsettling form. Her eyes void of emotion, stared like two empty voids. Her skin, deathly pale, seemed to sag under the weight of dark veins that pulsed with an otherworldly energy.
As she crawled toward him, her movements were jerky and unnatural, like a puppet controlled by unseen strings. The air around her seemed heavy...
The man's heart pounded in his chest, unsure how to react. Imara's sniffing grew more intense, her head tilted at an unnatural angle. It was as if she scanned his very soul..
Suddenly, Imara's face contorted, and she clutched her stomach. A guttural groan escaped her lips as a dark, tar-like substance erupted from her mouth. The man recoiled, horror etched on his face.
The vomit splattered the floor, its putrid stench filling the air. Imara continued to heave, her body shuddering with each violent convulsion. The man's face twisted in disgust.
"If she keeps going like this, she might actually vomit her organs!" he shrieked, panic creeping into his voice.
Suddenly,Imara's body slumped, lifeless. The man approached cautiously, confusion etched on his face.
Glittery lights swirled around Imara, converging on her stomach like fireflies drawn to flame. She jolted awake, gasping.
Her eyes returned to normal, but her skin remained pale and dry, like parchment stretched over a skeletal frame. Vaughn helped her sit.
"W-who are you...and where am I?" she stammered, her voice barely audible and dry.
Vaughn's gentle smile offered a fleeting sense of comfort. "Vaughn," he said.
Imara's gaze drifted, confusion clouding her eyes. She felt weak, immobile, and drained.
A hollow void within her seemed to suck the life from her very soul. Yet, amidst the emptiness, something stirred within her..
As night descended, Vaughn cleaned up the mess, trying to engage her in conversation. Imara remained silent.
Vaughn offered food, but she merely stared.
Her thoughts drifted, lost in a sea of darkness.
Vaughn let her stay, hoping tomorrow would bring answers.

The next morning that felt like forever to come, Vaughn, being a lonely man in his small cottage, was kinda glad to have company-except the company doesn't speak, and he doesn't know where she comes from or who she is.
Vaughn was once human, a researcher and a very curious person. Years back, he bumped into a vampire when he was doing his research. He knew something was off about Ashwood; he knew supernatural beings roamed the earth, but whenever he told his colleagues back then, they'd call him stupid or dumb to ever think that way.
He was too delved into finding some proof that he lost his humanity to a vampire. Who turned him immortal, too. Since then, Vaughn's life hasn't been the same.
Now his new mission was to find a way out of Tenebrous. He never saw the vampire that bit him after that night. He just found himself in an unknown area where he had to struggle to survive till he paced his way...To be continued...
