After Queen Lyrebird recovered from the toll Xavier had taken on her, she rose to her feet, adjusted her dress, and cleared her throat.
"Questions?" she asked with a weak smile.
Nimue raised her hand. "How will we know it's the boy when we see him?"
Queen Lyrebird nodded slightly before answering, "Here..." She brought out an egg-like crystal thing that glowed different colors of blue, red, green, and black, which, upon reflection, signified each of the clans' auras.
"This is called the Sothic Crystal," she said. "It's an ancient carrier of deep magic. My great-grandparents and their ancestors utilized this."
She paused, showcasing the egg-like structure. "The prophecy has been ongoing for centuries now."
Lax asked immediately, "So does that mean the lad's already been born way back?"
Queen Lyrebird replied, "No, not really, my dear. His existence was already written and forged. My greatest grandparents awaited his arrival, but he never came, so they said. My great-grandparents did the same and saw no signs, only visions-constant, disturbing visions that led to their restless pursuit."
Queen Lyrebird continued, "This Sothic Crystal won't help you find him, though it will signify when you've found him, because he's a forbidden breed-a breed of us all."
"And, as said before, his existence, being a lad who can't control the kind of power brewing inside him, will cause havoc."
She finished, and Nimue's thoughts were racing, as were the others.
"I, and your parents, will try and dig into this lad's past, trying to track down possible routes from our ends."
The room remained silent for a moment before Queen Lyrebird spoke up.
"I suppose there are no more questions, and everything has been explained. Aria will handle the Sothic Crystal."
"Pfft, of course," Lord Valios muttered, his tone laced with sarcasm.
Aria accepted the orb, bowing her head as Queen Lyrebird laid a gentle hand on her daughter's crown, imparting a blessing.
After a moment, the clans and their children strolled toward the veil separating their realm from the human world.
"I can barely believe this," Aria squealed, her voice barely containing her excitement, as Nimue chuckled in response.
"Yeah, me too," Nimue said, her eyes locked on the invisible veil.
The five young representatives stood forth as Queen Lyrebird spoke, her voice filled with emotion. "Go well, children..."
With a nod, they stepped through the veil, and their appearances transformed.
Lax's rugged, hairy were-man physique gave way to a chiseled, athletic build, his skin now polished and radiant. His piercing golden like eyes sparkled, framed by sharp jawlines and defined cheekbones, mirroring his father's unique features too...
Aria's witchy beauty morphed into a breathtaking human form. Her slender figure boasted curves in all the right places, her skin glowing with a subtle sheen. Her raven hair cascaded down her back, framing her heart-shaped face and vibrant blue eyes...
Nimue's flowery features and pointed ears and ethereal beauty yielded to an enigmatic, charming lady. Her long, silky blonde hair fell like a river down her back, accentuating her delicate facial structure and piercing green emerald eyes. Her petite frame belied a quiet strength.
Kael's dark, pale skin transformed into a warm, golden undertone, illuminating his sharp facial angles. His once-sunken eyes now shone bright, brown sinking the once redden, and his dark hair lightened to a rich, chestnut brown.
Xavier's elusive features unfolded into a charming young man. His chiseled jawline and sharp cheekbones framed piercing, obsidian eyes that seemed know it all..His raven hair styled perfectly, accentuating his tall, lean physique.
As they adjusted to their new forms, their attire transformed to blend seamlessly into the human world....
