_POV: IN LEGION CLAN'S ASSEMBLY_

Queen Lyrebird's eyes narrowed. "If his name's Nabril... then who's Asher?"

Aria's expression turned grave. "There's already one here... Lord Forsythe and Valmorth have him."

Queen Lyrebird's face set in determination. "Then what are we waiting for?!"

Queen Zephyrine's voice trembled. "Nimue went in search of him. She says she feels him... a connection she can't explain."

"And I can't sense her... her scent and magic are cloaked in dark magic. It's as if she's been consumed." She added

King Finnan's face turned grim. "She's already found him, if so... We risk losing her to the darkness."

The clan's anxiety was palpable as they prepared to venture into the woods.

"Nimue!" Queen Zephyrine called out.

"Nimue!! Where are you!?" King Finnan's voice echoed through the trees.

_POV: SOMEWHERE IN TENEBROUS_

Nimue's fury ignited. "What do you want from him, Callisto?! Get a life, you old prick! Leave him alone."

Callisto's face contorted, eyes blazing with malice. "I'm not playing this game with you, Nimue. You're no match for me."

" What is your aim even?...why are you protecting him?"Callisto asked

Nimue battered her lashes first..she didn't know why she was protecting him but she is and nothing will stop her

" That shouldn't be your concern Callisto!.."

" Oh really?..."

Suddenly,Lord Halvort and Lady Geneva emerged from the shadows beside Callisto, smirks etched on their faces.

"Who's in charge now?" Callisto sneered, his voice dripping with triumph.

Nimue's eyes widened in disbelief, breathing ragged.

"L-Lady Geneva?... Lord Halvort?... how come?... why are you in force with him?"

Callisto's gritted teeth gleamed in the moonlight. "Get away from the boy, Nimue...I won't warn you again"

Nimue's face hardened, hands uniting to form a glowing, burning bubble.

"You'd have to go through me first, Callisto. I won't let you harm him."

" S-stop.."Asher said breathlessly as his hand extended weakly to nimue

Callisto snarled, claws unsheathing with a menacing glint.

"That would be a piece of cake"

With a feral growl, Callisto launched himself at Nimue.

Nimue stood tall, her fairy wings fluttering rapidly as she faced them...

"Enough!" Asher tried to scream but the pain he felt inwardly stopped him

The moonlit clearing seemed to darken, as if the vampires' presence sucked the light out.

Callisto snarled, his eyes blazing with fury. His body began to shift, transforming into a dark, mist-like form. Nimue's hands flew up, weaving intricate patterns as she summoned her fairy magic.

Callisto's claw came in the air swift

Nimue dodged with ease, her wings beating faster. She countered with a spinning kick, her leg extending in a fluid arc. Her foot connected with Callisto's face, but he merely reformed.

Lady Geneva materialized behind Nimue, her fangs bared. Nimue spun, her hands flashing in a blur slamming on Lady Geneva's face causing her glasses to fall,a burst of radiant light exploded from her fingers, sending Lady Geneva stumbling back.

Lord Halvort charged forward, his eyes burning with an unnatural hunger. Nimue met him with a flurry of punches, her hands moving in perfect sync.

Her left jab struck Lord Halvort's jaw, infused with fairy magic. Her right cross followed, fueled by determination. An uppercut sent Lord Halvort stumbling and crashing to a tree.

But the vampires' superior strength soon took its toll. Callisto's misty form engulfed Nimue, sending her flying across the clearing. She crashed into a tree, the impact shuddering through her wings..her magic becoming faint

Callisto pounced, claws extended. Nimue rolled, avoiding his strike by mere inches. Her hands sprang up, conjuring fairy dust. The dust exploded, momentarily blinding Callisto.

Lady Geneva and Lord Halvort closed in, trapping Nimue. Their fangs and claws gleamed, ready to strike.

Nimue's wings beat fiercely trying to generate a whirlwind but was pinned down by Callisto

"Ni-nimue please..." Asher coughed
