"You seem human... I can't sense anything from you," Nimue said, her eyes narrowing as she studied Asher.
Asher's voice barely rose above a whisper. "What do you mean?"
Nimue ignored his question, her gaze already scanning their surroundings.
"Follow me... I'll keep you safe from Callisto till... whenever I guess."
She strode forward, Asher hastening behind her.
_POV:THE LEGION CLAN..._
In the heart of the Legion Clan's fortress, Lord Xoray, the demon clan ruler, sat upon his throne, radiating an aura of dark majesty. His chiseled jawline seemed sharp as obsidian, and his crimson eyes pierced through the shadows. Intricate, glowing silver markings etched his skin while towering horns curved like a ram's..
Lord Xoray's gaze seemed to weigh the shadows themselves, as if nothing escaped his notice...
A messenger crept in, his footsteps hesitant, as if fearful of disturbing the darkness. He bowed deeply, his voice trembling.
"My Lord, the Arcana Council seekers have arrived. They request an audience, citing great importance."
Lord Xoray's voice boomed, shattering the silence.
"Let them in."
The messenger's bow deepened, his head nearly touching the floor. He remained in that subservient pose, awaiting dismissal.
Lord Xoray's gaze never wavered, his piercing crimson eyes fixed on some unseen point beyond the messenger.
Queen Lyrebird, resplendent in her silver-embroidered robes, stepped forward with poised elegance. Her long, raven hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, and her piercing emerald eyes shone with ancient wisdom. The aura surrounding her pulsed with subtle power...
"Lord Xoray" she began, her voice melodious yet authoritative..
"Queen Lyrebird and King Lyrad.." Lord Xoray said
"We've come to discuss a matter pertinent to all clans present." She said immediately
Lord Xoray's expression remained impassive, his crimson eyes narrowing slightly.
"What concern does it have for me?" he asked, his deep voice laced with skepticism.
King Lyrad, standing beside Queen Lyrebird, stepped forward. His rugged features and piercing blue eyes seemed chiseled from the mountains themselves. His robust frame radiated strength, while his aura whispered of tempered power.
"It involves our existence as a whole being disrupted by the mere existence of a lad," King Lyrad announced, his voice like thunder.
The air thickened, heavy with the weight of his words. Lord Xoray's gaze snapped to the king, intrigue flickering in his crimson eyes.
Lord Xoray's voice echoed through the chamber. "Well then... we'll have to inform the others."
With a subtle nod, he summoned a servant, who bowed deeply before gliding across the room to where Queen Lyrebird and King Lyrad stood, flanked by esteemed elders. The servant bowed again, receiving Lord Xoray's unspoken command.
"Deliver the summons," Lord Xoray's voice carried across the room. "Assemble the clan leaders. We have matters to discuss."
The servant vanished into the shadows, leaving the dignitaries to await the gathering.
Lord Xoray's gaze swept the room before settling on his guests. A hint of dark hospitality crept into his voice.
"While we wait... feast?"
With an elegant gesture, he floated down from his throne, dark smoke swirling around him like a living aura. The air seemed to thicken, heavy with the scent of old power.
Leading Queen Lyrebird, King Lyrad, and the elders, Lord Xoray glided toward a grand dining hall. The doors swung open, revealing a lavish spread of exotic delicacies and dark magic swirling everywhere a mere one would die of suffocation..
